Ch 4 Duel test

Jaden awoke the next day and went to the docks to talk to Alexis about what she wanted to talk about. He arrived and saw that Alexis was waiting for him and she was in her normal duel academy cloths. He was ready for what she had to say because she never did this before and he was interested in what she had to say. She greeted Jaden as if it was any other time but this was a serous matter that she needed to talk about. Jaden held out his hand and she took it as a sigh of friendship.

Alexis said "thanks for coming Jaden. I have a lot to tell you and I am going to need your help." Jaden said "anything to help a friend in need." Alexis smiled and said "my brother has gone missing and I have no idea where he went and I don't know what to do." She then began to cry. Jaden then hugged her. Jaden said "I will do everything in my power to bring him back but right now we need to focus on what is happening right now because we don't want to be kicked out of duel academy before we investigate."

Jaden then left to get some more sleep for he knew what day it was. It was the day that he slept in and he helped miss Dorothy and she would give him a rare card that made winged kuriboh indestructible. He then awoke and was ready for the test and he ran to the school. He then ran into miss Dorothy. He then helped her and was glad that she could get some help and was going to remember that he helped her. Yubel then appeared and said "you were always the guy that would help anyone that needed help didn't you." Jaden said "ya that is what I was like till the other dimension incident."

Yubel said "Jaden I am so sorry that you had to go though that and see your friends disappear like that. From the bottom of this duel spirits heart I am sorry." Jaden said "it wasn't your fault you were corrupted by the tainted light and now we have a chance to make it all right and we will make things better and we will defeat everything that gets in our way." Yubel smiled and then Jaden gave her physical form and she hugged him right as they were outside the class room.

Jaden rushed to take the test and he knew what the answers were and he got gone quickly to take a nap and knew that his duel opponent would be chazz and that he would use the cards that Crowler bought that came in for the duel test. Then the bell rang and it was just him, Syrus, Chumley, Alexis, and Bastion left in the classroom. Then Syrus rushed to see if he could get some rare cards with Chumley. Alexis asked Jaden "why aren't you worried about the field test." Jaden said "I know I will win but it doesn't hurt to get a rare card or two does it."

The gang went to the store but all rare cards were gone but Dorothy said she had one just for Jaden. She gave it to him and he thanked her. He then opened it to find Transcendent Wings. Jaden then uses his elemental Hero deck and added the card to his deck. He then went to the field and found out that his opponent was Chazz. Chazz said "a rematch and I get to humiliate you in front of the whole school." Jaden said "game on."

Jaden draws "Winged Kuriboh". He then Normal Summons "Elemental HERO Clayman" (800/2000) in Defense Position.

Chazz draws "Magical Mallet" and subsequently activates it to return it and four other cards from his hand to his Deck and draw five new cards. One of the drawn cards is "Magical Mallet", so Chazz activates the latter card again to return it and two other cards to his Deck and draw three new cards (One of which is "V-Tiger Jet").

Chazz Normal Summons "V-Tiger Jet" (1600/1800) in Attack Position. He then activates "Frontline Base". Now once a turn, during Chazz's Main Phase, he can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Union Monster from his hand. Chazz then activates the effect of "Frontline Base" to Special Summon "W-Wing Catapult" (1300/1500) in Attack Position. Chazz then removes his two monsters from play in order to Special Summon "VW-Tiger Catapult" (2000/2100) in Attack Position. He then activates the effect of "VW-Tiger Catapult" to discard "Y-Dragon Head" and switch "Clayman" to Attack Position. "VW-Tiger Catapult" attacks and destroys "Clayman" (Jaden 4000 → 2800). Chazz then Sets a card.

Jaden draws. He then Normal Summons "Elemental HERO Sparkman" (1600/1400) in Defense Position and Sets a card.

Chazz draws. He then Normal Summons "X-Head Cannon" (1800/1500) in Attack Position. Chazz then activates the effect of "Frontline Base" to Special Summon "Z-Metal Tank" (1500/1300) in Attack Position. He then activates his face-down "Call of the Haunted" to Special Summon "Y-Dragon Head" (1500/1600) from his Graveyard in Attack Position. Chazz then removes "X-Head Cannon", "Y-Dragon Head", and "Z-Metal Tank" from play in order to Special Summon "XYZ-Dragon Cannon" (2800/2600) in Attack Position. Chazz then removes "XYZ-Dragon Cannon" and "VW-Tiger Catapult" from play in order to Special Summon "VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon" (3000/2800) in Attack Position.

Chazz then activates the first effect of "VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon" to remove "Sparkman" from play. "VWXYZ" then attacks directly, but Jaden activates his face-down "A Hero Emerges" to force Chazz to select a card from Jaden's hand. If it is a monster, he can Special Summon it. Chazz chooses a card and Jaden reveals it to be "Elemental HERO Burstinatrix", so Jaden Special Summons "Burstinatrix" (1200/800) in Defense Position. A replay occurs, and Chazz uses "VWXYZ" to attack "Burstinatrix". Chazz then activates the second effect of "VWXYZ" to switch "Burstinatrix" to Attack Position. "VWXYZ" destroys "Burstinatrix" (Jaden 2800 → 1000).

Jaden draws "Transcendent Wings". He then Normal Summons "Winged Kuriboh" (300/200) in Defense Position and Sets a card.

Chazz draws. "VWXYZ" attacks "Winged Kuriboh", but Jaden activates his face-down "Transcendent Wings" to discard two cards in his hand and Tribute "Winged Kuriboh" in order to Special Summon "Winged Kuriboh LV10" (300/200) from his Deck in Attack Position. Jaden then activates the effect of "Winged Kuriboh LV10" to Tribute the latter and destroy "VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon" as well as inflict damage to Chazz equal to the ATK of "VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon" (Chazz 4000 → 1000).

Jaden draws "Elemental HERO Avian" and subsequently Normal Summons it (1000/1000) in Attack Position. "Avian" then attacks directly (Chazz 1000 → 0). Jaden was then promoted to rA yellow but he declined the offer because he didn't want to leave his friends behind.
