Ch 23 Scorpion Love

Jaden went to the cliffs and waited for Alexis to come and join him with the food that he had. Alexis was making her way to the cliffs when she saw Chazz coming her way. Chazz said "hey Alexis were are you going now?" Alexis said "I am going to meet Jaden for a picnic." Chazz looked at her and said "is he your boyfriend or are you still friends?" Alexis blushed at the thought of herself of being Jaden's girlfriend. She then said "we are just friends and he has some information that I would like to hear just the two of us."

Alexis left Chazz in disbelief. Chazz believed that they were more than just friends and he needed to find some way to get Alexis' affection. Then it came to him a way to impress and get Alexis to like him he needed to defeat the next shadow rider. So then he went back to his room and prepared his deck to duel against the next shadow rider so he could impress Alexis. Then Ojama Yellow appeared and said to Chazz "Chazz I hope you can make Alexis fall for you because if you haven't noticed Alexis and Jaden can see duel spirits."

Chazz hearing what he just heard he said "if Alexis and Jaden can see duel spirits then if maybe Alexis is drawn to Jaden because of his ability to see and communicate with spirits." Alexis was still walking and thinking about what Chazz had said and she was wanting to be with Jaden but the time was not right for her confession. She could see Jaden in the distance and her heart was racing seeing the man that she loved but could not tell him how she felt till she was ready for it and she would take that step.

She got to the cliffs and looked at Jaden and he was happy to see her and was getting ready to eat the food he prepared for the both of them. She sat on the blanket that Jaden had placed for her to sit on. Jaden said "thanks of showing up I was not sure if you were going to come or not." Alexis said "I didn't want to leave you alone because that is not what a friend does to anther friend. Besides I want to know more about you because you are an import person that saves others from danger."

 Jaden and Alexis were looking at each other in the eyes and then Alexis said "Jaden what was it like for you growing up as a kid?" Jaden said "well when I was a kid I could hear duel spirits and then when I was young Yubel when I dueled and lost would place my opponent in a coma. Then I entered a contest that Kaiba made to teach other races of space how to duel. Then I won and created the Neos cards and because I am from the future I have them now."

Alexis said "what did you do with Yubel?" Yubel appeared and said "he sent me away in hoping to fix me from doing what I did. I did it to protect him from harm. Then I was sent into space but instead of making me safe to use I was attacked by the light of destruction and corrupted and wanted to exact my revenge on Jaden for casting me aside." Alexis said "so Yubel will come and attack us when and were?" Jaden said "I don't want you to know because this is my fight." Alexis looked at Jaden and said "I want to make sure that you don't fall from grace again because you are my friend."

Jaden smiled and said "Alexis I will do everything I can to prevent that from happening because you and all of my friends are important to me. So what about you Alexis what happened to you when you were a kid?" Alexis said "well besides me being able to communicate with duel spirits I was born into wealth but I never looked down upon people less fortunate than myself. But what I did was work with a charity that my mom donates to because I was wanting to give back to my community."

Jaden smiled at hearing that she was a person that never looked down upon people. Yubel said to Jaden in his mind "she is perfect for you so why didn't you pursue her?" Jaden said "because I was not ready for this and now I am because I know that events that are to come. By the way I believe that Chazz is going to duel that Don Zaloog spirit in a little." Syrus then came running down to them and said that Chazz was dueling the next shadow rider. So they followed Syrus to the Slifer dorm and saw Chazz ready to duel Don Zaloog.
