Ch 18 Vampire Hunt part 2

The next day Jaden was still in the nurses office because he claimed to be still weak and was not going to duel just yet. Alexis had persuaded Jaden to wait till the next day to duel Camula if things go ill. Jaden gave his signature smile and Alexis' heart melted. Jaden knew that the only way to defeat Camula was to use the shadow charm but Atticus was not awoke to give it to him. Then Syrus saw Zane leave and he asked why he left and he said to prepare for the duel with Camula. Syrus worried about his brother but then he realized that he was one of the best at this school.

As night came down upon the school and Jaden and the gang saw a castle in the distance and Camula had wanted them to come to her and she was not wanting to wait. Zane and the gang made in the castle and Camula was waiting for them. Zane said "I challenge you Camula and if I win you return Crowler from a doll back to normal." Camula said "and if I win I get your spirit key and your soul will be put into a doll and I will use your power to bring back Vampires to build an army of them."

Camula draws. She then Normal Summons "Vampire Lady" (1550/1550) in Defense Position and Sets a card. Zane draws "Power Bond" and subsequently activates it to fuse the three "Cyber Dragons" in his hand together and Fusion Summon "Cyber End Dragon" (4000/2800) in Attack Position, Due to the effect of "Power Bond", "Cyber End Dragon" gains ATK equal to its original ATK ("Cyber End Dragon": 4000 → 8000/2800), but if "Cyber End Dragon" is still on Zane's side of the field, "Power Bond" will inflict damage to him equal to the original ATK of "Cyber End Dragon".

"Cyber End Dragon" attacks "Vampire Lady", but Camula activates her face-down "Red Ghost Moon" to gain Life Points equal to the ATK of "Cyber End Dragon" and end Zane's Battle Phase by discarding "Zombie Werewolf". Zane then activates "De-Fusion" to send "Cyber End Dragon" to the Graveyard and Special Summon his three "Cyber Dragons" (2100/1600 each) from his Graveyard in Attack Position. Since "Cyber End Dragon" has been removed from the field, the effect of "Red Ghost Moon" is negated as it has lost its original target. Zane Sets a card. On the End Phase, Zane takes no damage from the last effect of "Power Bond" as "Cyber End Dragon" is no longer on the field.

Camula draws "Vampire Genesis". She then Tributes "Vampire Lady" in order to Tribute Summon "Vampire Lord" (2000/1500) in Attack Position. Camula then removes "Vampire Lord" from play in order to Special Summon "Vampire Genesis" (3000/2100) in Attack Position. "Vampire Genesis" attacks a "Cyber Dragon", but Zane activates his face-down "Attack Reflector Unit" to Tribute one of his "Cyber Dragons" and Special Summon "Cyber Barrier Dragon" (800/2800) from his Deck in Attack Position. A replay occurs and Camula uses "Vampire Genesis" to attack "Cyber Barrier Dragon", but Zane activates the effect of "Cyber Barrier Dragon" to negate the attack.

Zane draws "Pot of Greed" and subsequently activates it to draw two cards. He then activates "Photon Generator Unit" to Tribute his two "Cyber Dragons" and Special Summon "Cyber Laser Dragon" from his Deck (2400/1800) in Attack Position. Zane then activates "Cyber Laser Dragon's" effect to destroy "Vampire Genesis" as its ATK is greater than the ATK of "Cyber Laser Dragon". "Cyber Laser Dragon" and "Cyber Barrier Dragon" then attack directly (Camula 4000 → 1600 → 800). Zane then Sets a card ("Call of the Haunted").

Camula draws "Illusion Gate" and subsequently activates it by using her Shadow Charm to offer the soul of Zane's brother, Syrus. Should she lose the Duel, the offered soul will be taken. "Illusion Gate's" effect then destroys all monsters on Zane's side of the field and Special Summons "Cyber End Dragon" (4000/2800) from Zane's Graveyard to her side of the field in Attack Position, ignoring the Summoning conditions. "Cyber End Dragon" attacks directly. Zane contemplates on using his face-down "Call of the Haunted" to Special Summon "Cyber Barrier Dragon" and activate its effect to negate the attack, but realizes that he can only save Syrus' soul by losing. He does not respond to the attack and the attack continues (Zane 4000 → 0).

Then Camula kick the gang out of her castle and Jaden was ready to duel her next but he knew the only way to defeat her was to use his shadow charm. Jaden and Alexis went back to the nurses office were Jaden and Alexis had been sleeping the past two days. As they were walking Alexis had something on her mind and she needed to tell Jaden.

Alexis said "Jaden do you know how you are going to beat this vampire?" Jaden said "yes but first I am going to need someone's help and I think you will know who it will be he is in this room." Alexis was shocked and looked at Atticus and said "how can he help he was a shadow rider but how will he help." Jaden then held the half medallion that the Gravekeepers had given him. She now realized what was going on. She was surprised but then she was happy that Jaden knew what to do.

Jaden said "Alexis I know that this maybe tough on you now but when the time comes I will give you more information about the future ok." Alexis said "ok but I want to know something Jaden. Did you and I become closer friends as time went by?" Jaden said "well yes and no as time went on we both looked like a couple of kids having fun dueling but then Yubel came." Alexis said "what do you mean?" Jaden said "I sent you, Chazz, Atticus, and another boy from this world to another where Yubel kept you hostage. The worst was seeing you disappear but then I saved you guys but changed me forever."

Alexis said "go on I want to know about you Jaden because you are my friend and I care about you and you need not push us away but bring us closer so that we all become one in your heart." Jaden was stunned to hear this but then he said "ok I will but time for some ZZZ's because we could use some for tomorrow right." Alexis said "right and if I am right you will be the one to sent that vampire packing." Alexis smiled at Jaden and they drifted off to sleep knowing that the darkness was coming for them.
