Ch 5 Shadow Realm

Jaden, Syrus, and Chumley were telling scary stories and then Banner came in and told a story that scared the living daylights out of Syrus and Chumley. Jaden knew that this would help find a clues to see were Atticus was. Jaden then said that he wanted to go to the abandoned dorm tomorrow. The boys were hesitant at first but then agreed as they didn't want Jaden to go alone but Jaden knew he could handle himself but the friends being there would help. Cowler heard this and got a shadow duelist to send Jaden away from the school and prove that he never belonged here.

So the next day came around and Jaden them got to the abandoned dorm. They then saw a rose laying on the ground and Jaden knew that it was Alexis that had laid it down. Then Alexis showed up and said "what are you guys doin here?" Jaden said "we are here to look for clues as to where the missing students went." Alexis said "Jaden please don't go in there it is restricted and I couldn't bare to lose a friend like you." Jaden said "I have to do what my gut is telling me and we will find some clues and don't worry about us."

Alexis turned to leave as the boys went into the dorm. She then was attacked and knocked out and then Jaden heard it and ran back outside and Jaden knew that Titan had shown himself. Then they ran to the basement and Jaden saw that Alexis was in a coffin and Titan was glad to see that his bait had worked. Then Jaden got out his deck and said "we duel, I win the girl goes with us." Titan said "and if you lose then you will be locked in the shadow realm forever."

Jaden and Titan started there duel disks and said "duel." Titan draws. He then Normal Summons "Infernalqueen Archfiend" (900/1500) in Attack Position. Due to the effect of "Infernalqueen Archfiend", the ATK of all "Archfiend" monsters wil be increased by 1000 as long as "Infernalqueen Archfiend" is face-up ("Infernalqueen Archfiend": 900 → 1900/1500). Titan then activates "Pandemonium". Now neither player has to pay Life Points for the Maintenance Cost of an "Archfiend" monster during the Standby Phase. When an Archfiend is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard, that player can add 1 "Archfiend" with a lower Level than the destroyed monster from his Deck to his hand.

Jaden draws "Hero Signal". Jaden's hand contains "Elemental HERO Avian", "Mirror Force", "Emergency Provisions", "Mirror Force" and "Mirror Gate". He then Normal Summons "Elemental HERO Avian" (1000/1000) in Attack Position and Sets two cards.

Titan draws. He then Normal Summons "Terrorking Archfiend" (2000 → 3000/1500) in Attack Position since he controls an Archfiend. "Terrorking" then attacks "Avian", but Jaden activates his face-down "Mirror Gate" to switch the sides of both battling monsters before damage is calculated, however Titan activates the effect of "Terrorking" to roll a die. If the result is a two or five, Jaden's "Mirror Gate" will be negated and destroyed. Titan gets a two, so "Mirror Gate" is negated and destroyed. "Terrorking Archfiend" then destroys "Avian" (Jaden 4000 → 2000). Jaden then activates his face-down "Hero Signal" to Special Summon "Elemental HERO Clayman" (800/2000) in Defense Position.

Jaden draws "Pot of Greed" and subsequently activates it to draw two cards. Jaden then activates "Polymerization" to fuse "Clayman" with "Elemental HERO Sparkman" in order to Fusion Summon "Elemental HERO Thunder Giant" (2400/1500) in Attack Position. Since "Thunder Giant" was Fusion Summoned, Jaden activates its effect to destroy "Terrorking Archfiend", but Titan activates the effect of "Terrorking Archfiend" to roll a die. Titan gets a five, so the effect of "Thunder Giant" is negated and "Thunder Giant" is destroyed.

Jaden activates "Mirage of Nightmare". Now during each of Titan's Standby Phases, Jaden can draw until he has four cards in his hand, but during each of his own Standby Phases, he must randomly discard the same number of cards he drew through this effect. Jaden Sets two cards.

Titan draws. During Titan's Standby Phase, Jaden draws four cards via the effect of "Mirage of Nightmare". "Terrorking Archfiend" attacks directly, but Jaden activates his face-down "Mirror Force" to destroy all of Titan's face-up Attack Position monsters.
