Ch 26 Spirit Day and Gambling Love

The next couple of days went by and everything was back to normal and everyone had a smile on their face at Duel Academy. Then Syrus had an idea to have a duel monster spirit day and he told Jaden this idea and Jaden encouraged Syrus to pursue this idea. So Syrus did just that and he was so happy that maybe some girl would dress up as the dark magician girl. Jaden and the gang were happy to hear about this and were going to get costumes ready for this event. Chumley then made the poster of the two dark magicians and everyone was amazed by his skills.

Jaden was torn between wearing a Yubel costume and letting her take over this body. Or be Neos and give Yubel a physical form for the day. The second idea sounded more appealing to the both of them. Syrus was not going to be in costume because he would be announcing the duel between Jaden and a challenger. Atticus was going to dress up as Red-Eyes as it was his favorite card. Bastion was going to dress up as Amazoness Tiger and everyone was still convinced he love Tania. Zane was going as Cyber Dragon.

Chazz said that his costume would arrive the day of the event but he didn't want to spoil the surprise. Then came the one person that everyone wanted to see in a costume, Alexis. Chazz wanted her to go as the Dark Magician Girl and then everyone but Jaden imagined that and they were all in agreement but Zane and Jaden were not picturing that. Atticus said that if she does that then she can get a boyfriend and live a happy life. Then Alexis smacked Atticus and said that she was not interested in guys at the moment.

Jaden the seemed depressed because of what he heard. Alexis saw this and decided that she would dress up as Cyber Angel Dakini. The guys begged her to reconsider but there was no changing her mind. The day of Duel Monster Spirit day and everyone was exicted to watch the festivities. Jaden was dressed as Neos as he had planned and he gave Yubel the freedom to have physical form for the day. Then one by one everyone of the gang appeared but Banner was missing since the Titan duel and everyone was worried about him. Jaden and Yubel were the first to be ready.

Yubel said "so what is going to happen today Jaden?" Jaden said "you want the long story or the short story?" Yubel said "your choice." Jaden said "well I get to duel the spirit of the Dark Magician Girl and everyone but Alexis cheers for the Dark Magician Girl." Yubel chuckled and said "that sounds just about right and at least you get to be cheered on by the woman you love." Jaden smiled and saw Chazz in his costume XYZ Dragon Cannon. Chazz was happy to see that Jaden was the first so he could not be alone as he was annoyed by the Ojama Yellow.

Chazz saw that Jaden wasn't alone and then he decided to screw with Jaden and his friend. But he didn't know that Yubel was his duel spirit at the time and he had only seen Winged Kuriboh before but now Yubel. Chazz said to Jaden "well how you doing slacker and who is this? Your girlfriend, where did you meet at the ugly convention. Then Yubel went into blistic mode and used her ability to use plant like vines to rap around Chazz and ensnare him in her trap. Yubel then said "all I have to do is squeeze." Chazz was in a state of shock that Yubel was real and had the powers that she did.

Chazz said "please spare me I didn't know that you were real duel spirit spare me." Jaden told Yubel to release him but she didn't want to do so but she listened to her friends command. Then everyone else arrived and Alexis was looking good in her costume. Then Jaden got ready to duel and everyone was wondering who his opponent would be. and sure enough the Dark Magician Girl appeared. Everyone but the girls were exactice to see her. Alexis watched Jaden with keen eyes to see his reaction. Yubel was watching Alexis at this time and Alexis was as first when see saw Yubel that she was a hologram but she was real.

Yubel crept up behind Alexis and said in a whisper "Alexis, do you like Jaden?" Alexis was shocked by the question but she didn't know what to say. Yubel said "I will take you silence as a yes." Alexis turned around and looked at Yubel straight in the eyes and said "ok fine I admit it I like Jaden. He is the only guy who sees me as a duelist and not just a girl with good looks." Yubel smiled and said "one day you and him will be together and I will help in any way that I can okay."
