ETHAN'S POV:
"What the fuck?! Are you an alien?" I asked in disbelief at her weird coloured blood. She quickly pulled her top down.
"No I'm not an alien." She whispered.
"Then what the hell is that?" I motioned to the area of her cut.
"You can't tell anyone." She shook her head desperately. My eyes softened as I looked into hers, she looked so vulnerable and scared.
"I won't." I nodded at her. She searched my eyes, trying to see if I was lying. She exhaled before she began to speak.
"As you can tell, my blood is... different. It contains a supernatural chemical that's very powerful. Some people want to experiment on me and take my blood, others want to use it for nuclear weapons against other countries." She began to explain.
"But, if they take your blood, you would-"
"Die. I know." She sighed. I looked at her in shock.
"That's not right! They can't do that!" I hissed. "Were you born with it?" I asked.
"Yeah, then when certain people found out, they came after me. My parents always told me I had a gift. I believed them until they died for me 3 years ago, a week after I turned 13. Now I'm thinking it's more like a curse rather than a gift." She shrugged.
"I'm so sorry." Was all I could say. I was rendered speechless.
"Don't be." She forced a smile.
We looked at each other for a while, not knowing what else to say. I just ran into a supernatural girl on the streets while attempting to get my brother ice cream. How did that happen? I was snapped out of my thoughts by her mellow voice.
"Um I'm kind of tired. Is it okay if you uh-"
"Sure! Sorry. I'll just- night." I jumped up from the bed and rushed to the door. I looked around at her to see her smiling at me sweetly. I couldn't help but smile back.

CASSANDRA'S POV:
It was the next morning and I was showering in the bathroom. It was so good to stand underneath warm water and use shampoo.
Once I got out of the shower my cheap phone buzzed, I gulped as I checked my messages.
From 'A':
It's in Toronto. Canada. I'll send you the address. Where are you now?To 'A':
I'm in New Jersey. Thank you.I exhaled loudly in a sigh of relief. Looks like I'm going to have to find a way to get to Canada without getting found. Hitch hiking would be too dangerous, it could be one of them who's after me.
I got some clean clothes out of my backpack and put them on, I put my black jacket on and my hood up. I slung my backpack over my shoulder and made my way downstairs.
ETHAN'S POV:
"Your lucky mom and Cameron aren't awake yet." Grayson mumbled while eating his cereal.
"Gray, it's fine, I'll just tell them she's a friend from school." I nodded.
"You don't have friends." Grayson teased me.
"Ha ha funny." I pushed his elbow so it slipped off the table as he laughed.
Grayson stopped laughing, his sight was fixed on the doorway of the kitchen. I looked up to see Cassie stood there, all dressed with her hood up.
"Thank you for letting me stay here, I'm going to leave now though. Thank you again Ethan, for saving my ass." She smiled before she disappeared from the doorway.
Grayson looked at me confused, I ignored it and jumped up to follow Cassie. I managed to get to her before she could open the front door.
"Where are you going to go?" I whispered, not wanting Grayson to hear.
"Somewhere." She responded as I sighed. She opened the door but I went in front to block the door way.
"Cassie. You can trust me." I raised my eyebrows at her sympathetically. "I just want to know that when you leave here, you'll be alright." I finished.
"There's an antidote. To make my blood normal. It's in Toronto." She looked up at me.
"Toronto? That's almost a 10 hour drive away." I stated.
"I know, I can't drive but I'll get there somehow." She went to walk past me but I stretched my arms out to touch the doorframe.
"What are you going to do if they find you again? You can't outrun them forever." I said quietly, only realising now that our faces were quite close together but not close enough that we could feel each other's breaths.
"I can try." She replied in a whisper.
I bit my lip in frustration, I couldn't just let her walk out of here, knowing that people were out to kill her.
"I'll take you to Philadelphia. That should give you a headstart." I nodded grabbing my keys from where they were hanging on the wall.
"What. No. Ethan you've done enough to help me honestly." She shook her head at me.
"I'll feel like a murderer if I don't." I mumbled. "Grayson!" I yelled through the house.
"Yeah?!" Grayson called back.
"I'll be back in like 3 hours okay?" I told him.
"Where are you going!?" He yelled.
Me and Cassie looked at each other, not wanting to answer his question. So we didn't. We walked out of the front door and got into my car.
HA, GRAY GOT AIRED. Sorry Grayson ily! What did you think of Chapter Two? Ethan wanting to help is kinda cute, he just doesn't know what he's getting in to.
PEACE!✌
