ETHAN'S POV:
~ 3 months later ~
"Dude, did you eat my slice of pizza?" Grayson stood at my bedroom door, frowning at me.
"You shouldn't have left it lying around." I shrugged.
"I didn't, I went to the fridge to get a drink, then I turned around and it was gone." Grayson crossed his arms.
"Sorry, I was hungry." I smiled sarcastically.
"Fine, but you're paying for the next pizza." He grinned and shut my room door. "I'll call you in a bit to watch a film." His muffled voice travelled through my closed door.
Since I told Grayson what happened, he wouldn't leave my side.
I thought about her every night before I went to sleep, she was even in my dreams. Then when I woke up in the morning, I would imagine her next to me, just like that time in the B&B.
I had stopped eating pancakes for breakfast because I felt guilty that she couldn't have any. Cecil had been returned to his owner, leaving me with 2 months of community service which I completed last month.
The only thing I had left of Cassie was my memories of her. No pictures, just a memory. That was the worst feeling. Knowing that the only thing I have left of the girl I fell in love with was a simple memory. Memories that could disppear over time. But somehow, I knew that I wouldn't forget. Because of my promise.
I heard the sound of the new neighbours moving in next door, so many people moved in and out of that house. As I looked out my window I saw two boys and a girl who all looked about the same, carrying boxes into the house. Maybe they were triplets? They didn't look similar at all.
"Ethan! Get down here!" Grayson's voice called up to me, wanting to watch the film.
"Hang on! 5 minutes." I shouted back.
"No! Now!" He persisted.
"Grayson! 5 minutes!" I argued.
"Ethan Grant Dolan, get your ugly ass down here." He ordered.
I let out a frustrated sigh and opened the door of my bedroom, I made my way down the stairs.
"We look the same. If I'm ugly, you're ugly." I scoffed as I reached the bottom of the stairs.
Grayson didn't say anything. I looked towards him, he was stood by the front door with someone.
My eyes focused on flowing blonde hair and beautiful ice blue eyes that glimmered as my eyes landed on them. My body froze.
"Cassie?" My voice cracked.
"Hi neighbour." Cassie smiled, she sounded like she was about to cry.
"What-what the-how?" I stuttered in surprise, my body still frozen.
"You saved me Ethan, the antidote worked, it just took a while." She sighed.
"You were dead. I was looking at your dead body, and now you're here." I shook my head in disbelief. I saw Grayson stood there watching this all happen.
"I promised I wouldn't leave you Ethan Grant Dolan. Just like you promised me." Cassie smiled. Her smile giving me butterflies, I forgot how those felt.
My body was no longer frozen, I quickly walked towards Cassie and embraced her into a hug, picking her up so she was off the ground. I burrowed my head into her shoulder, enjoying all the tingles of her against me.
"I missed you." She whispered.
"I missed you so much." I spoke into her shoulder. "Are you still my girlfriend?" I looked at her in the eyes, chuckling slightly and a small tear of happiness rolled down my cheek.
"Always." She grinned.
I pressed my lips against her as my heart beated fast. Our lips moulded together, like they were meant to be connected.
"I love you." I whsipered.
"I love you more." She grinned.
"So you're my neighbour?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Yeah, me and my foster family moved in next door. I had no idea it was next to you until I got here, then when I knocked on the door and saw Grayson, I couldn't believe it." Cassie explained, I listened to her voice which I haven't heard in so long.
"And you're... normal now?" I stroked her cheek.
"Completely normal." She smiled.
"This is so trippy. I need a nap." Grayson shook his head.
CASSANDRA'S POV:
~ 10 years later ~
"Cassandra!" An interviewer caught my attention from the side of the red carpet.
"Hi!" I smiled at them, waiting for her questions.
"Congratulations on your new film, are you excited for people to see it?" She asked me, holding the microphone towards me. This was an extremely busy premiere.
"I'm very excited! I can't wait to see what people think of it." I nodded.
"So playing a main character alongside your husband, how did it feel to share the spotlight with him?" The interviewer asked me.
"It was one of the best experiences of my life so far, I love working with him, especially since we were playing a couple." I smiled sweetly.
"Thank you for answering our questions." She nodded.
I walked further down the red carpet in my black mermaid dress to get to the area of the pictures.
"You took your time." I saw Ethan grinning at me, he was wearing a black suit with a white shirt underneath. He looked perfect.
"I was doing an interview." I smiled.
We posed for some pictures, smiling at every single camera.
"Have I told you that you look stunningly beautiful?" Ethan spoke, his eyes still on the cameras.
"Multiple times tonight gorgeous." I rubbed his back thankfully while still smiling at the cameras.
"What a lucky husband I am." Ethan chuckled.
After the pictures we had a cast interview and then the film was going to be shown, both me and Ethan were waiting in a fancy lounge. We could hear the faint screams of fans.
"I would say this is the craziest thing we've ever done, but I'd be lying." Ethan laughed, putting his hand on my leg.
"This isn't as dangerous." I nodded, looking him in the eyes as he nodded.
"It's fair season, we need to go back to the fair, like we do every year." Ethan patted my leg.
"I look forward to it every time." I laughed.
"Cassie, we've fufilled our dreams, like we said we wanted to that night on the hill with Cecil at the bottom, when we were 16. Just like we promised we would." Ethan stroked my cheek.
"It's not completely fulfilled yet." I held his hand that was grazing my cheek.
"What do you mean?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Ethan, I'm pregnant." I smiled, his face lit up with happiness.
Okay now it's the end! I hope you enjoyed my story and I hope it made you feel something, even if you're mad because Cassie died for a while, that's still a feeling right ;).
