ETHAN'S POV:
One hour left. One hour until we're in Toronto. I could tell Cassie was relieved. So was I. What I had done, was crazy.
I had left home with a girl I just met, without telling anyone. I had driven over America with this beautiful, supernatural girl that I've just met. I had fallen in love with her but she still didn't know. I stole a truck and named it Cecil and lost my virginity. This experience was probably the craziest, stupidest but most amazing and thrilling thing I've ever done. And ever will do.
"I'm so glad you decided to hide behind my car." I spoke aloud.
"What?" Cassie frowned and chuckled.
"The night we met, you hid behind my car." I smiled.
"Oh yeah, I did. And you didn't tell the men where I went." Cassie looked at me, smiling. "It's like we were meant to be." She chuckled lightly.
"Yeah, you're right." I glanced at her as we stopped at a red light. "And I'm not ever leaving your side. I promise." I rubbed her leg as she placed her hand on mine.
Seeing the sign that said 'Welcome to Toronto' caused us to cheer in happiness. People who drove past us frowned as we danced in the truck.
"Okay so we made it, now we need to find Gizmo road." Cassie clarified.
"It can't be that hard, we could ask someone in a store or something. There's loads on this road." I shrugged, the street was scattered with different stores and a few people shopping.
I parked the car outside a few stores. Cassie and I walked into a unique gift shop, it had loads of little unusual gifts on display. As we walked to the desk, we tried not to push over the things that hung next to us.
The lady that was stood behind the desk was wearing loads of different types of scarfs and a variety of jewellery. She had bright pink dyed hair that was in a high ponytail. She greeted us with a smile.
"Excuse me but could you tell us how to get to 47 Gizmo road?" I asked the lady, leaning forward on the desk.
"47? Why would you want to go there?" She frowned at us, kind of smiling in disbelief.
"Uh, why wouldn't we?" I asked slowly, exchanging a confused glance with Cassie.
"It's an abandoned office block, no one has been in there for months, the company went bankrupted." The woman informed us.
"Oh." I breathed out, not knowing what to say.
"We're going there to take pictures, we're student photographers, our models are meeting us there." Cassie smiled.
"Oh right, well I can write down directions for you if you want?" The lady suggested as we nodded.
Once she wrote down some directions on a piece of paper, I glanced at them. It didn't look too complicated, we would find it eventually. We thanked her and left her peculiar gift store.
"Okay your lie was so much better than mine." I sighed as we walked to the truck.
"Oh come on, the Leeroy lie was good too." She patted my shoulder.
"Seriously?" I raised my eyebrows at her.
"Yes!" She gasped.
"Really?" I smiled.
"No." She laughed and got in the truck.
"Very funny." I laughed with her.
I drove as Cassie read out the instructions. We passed loads of buildings, just not the one we wanted to see so badly. As we got closer, I noticed the size of the buildings just got bigger and bigger.
"Okay, just look out for a massive closed off building that has no cars parked around it." I shrugged.
"Seems pretty simple." Cassie laughed
Finally, we found a building that matched our expectations. It was exactly where the lady said it would be. The office block had at least 20 floors, it was so high. I wonder what they were planning to turn the buidling in to.
"How are we going to find the antidote in that building." I stared openmouthed at the height.
"Alex said it's in the lab, locked in a draw." Cassie sighed.
"A lab? The office block has a lab?" I raised my eyebrows.
"The company specialised in supernatural shit. They needed a lab." Cassie smiled. "I hope the antidote works." She sighed.
"Of course it will work." I reassured her.
"It has to work." She nodded.
I parked Cecil and we got out in front of the building. Obviously, all the exits were blocked off so we ended up having to climb over to get on to the property. All the doors were boarded up so being the reckless, desperate teenagers we are, we smashed a window and climbed through.
CASSANDRA'S POV:
We were finally here, I would finally be normal. This was the start of the rest of my life. The rest of my life with Ethan. All we needed to do now was follow the signs to the lab.
Once we were inside, we noticed that we were in a fancy reception area, it was very spacious since most of the furniture had been removed. It was massive, it would take you a minute or so to walk from one side of the room to the other.
"Wow." Ethan gushed, his voice slightly echoing off the walls.
"Let's find stairs or something." I smiled as Ethan turned to look at me, he kissed the side of my face lightly.
As Ethan began to walk, my phone buzzed, I took it out of my pocket to see the message.
From 'A':
They know the location of the antidote! They all know! Don't go there! My stomach flipped. They all knew. They didn't attack us on the road because they knew our destination.
"Ethan they-"
A loud bang cut me off as I grabbed Ethan's arm. The bang was coming from the boarded up entrance door.
Yo guys, how was the chapter? Who do you think is at the door? Maybe it's Santa? Maybe he came early? (Sorry I'm really hyped for Christmas even though it's still months away)
PEACE!✌
