ETHAN'S POV:

I promised her I wouldn't leave her. Because I know I wouldn't. The feelings I had for her was stronger than anything I've ever felt before. Was this love?

We needed to leave this warehouse before people started looking for us. For her.

"Which state are we in?" Cassie sighed as she looked out the gap of the warehouse at a long road.

"No idea. Jay took our phones." I said as I patted my empty back pocket. I heard Cassie sigh. "My car is probably wrecked anyway." I shrugged.

"I'm so sorry E." Cassie rubbed my arm.

"It's okay, it's just a car. I can replace it. But I can't replace you." I put my arm around her and kissed the top of her head.

I glanced out of the gap in the warehouse, I saw a red pickup truck with it's door open. No one was near it.

"We could use that." I nodded towards the vehicle.

"You mean, steal someone's truck?" Cassie raised her eyebrows.

"How else are we meant to escape?" I sighed.

"You're right. Come on." She agreed.

We left the warehouse and crossed over the road, looking around for the owner of the truck. We saw a middle aged man who was taking his dog out into the open field, probably taking it for a pee.

I nodded to Cassie and we both sprinted to the van and jumped in. I slammed the door quickly, and thankfully turned the key that was in the ignition. We drove away, hearing yells from the man and barks from the dog.

"Okay that was the craziest, most illegal thing I've ever done in my life." I sighed in panic.

"At least we didn't get caught." Cassie shrugged and closed her eyes in relief.

"Good point." I raised my eyebrows.

We drove for a while, trying to work out where we were. Soon we found a small town that we drove through slowly since there were so many people. One of the shop windows had a sign on it that said:

'Best furniture in Pennsylvania.'

"We're in Pennsylvania?" Cassie raised her eyebrows.

"I guess so." I smiled slightly as she smiled back. "5 hours left until we reach Toronto." I nodded.

"We're so close Ethan! I could be normal." She grinned.

"You will be." I smiled at her.

"First we should get new clothes. Look at us." She motioned towards the rips in our clothing.

"Good idea." I grimaced.

I parked the stolen truck in the next available parking space and we hurried into a clothes shop, trying not to gain any unwanted attention.

We bought some new clothes. Guess what. They were black. We both bought new black hoodies and Cassie bought new black skinny jeans. I kept my skinny jeans as they looked like they were meant to be ripped anyway.

"So are you ready to go?" I asked her as we got back into the truck.

"As ready as I'll ever be." She sighed.

"Good answer." I nodded.

We drove for a few hours, only being 3 hours away from Toronto now. But it suddenly got dark and we began to get more tired.

"Should I find a B&B?" I shrugged.

"Sure." Cassie yawned.

"Actually we can't." I rolled my eyes at myself.

"Why?" Cassie looked towards me.

"I don't have enough money. I've spent most of it." I sighed, blaming myself.

"It's okay, we can sleep in the truck." Cassie put her hand on my knee.

"I doubt there will be enough room." I shook my head, motioning to our two seats.

"Ethan don't worry, we'll find somewhere." Cassie reassured me.

I parked the truck by a trail that led up to a steep hill. Once I turned off the engine, I sat back in my seat and sighed. I felt a hand on mine, I immediately enterlocked our fingers. I saw her looking up to the hill.

"Do you want to have a look on top of the hill?" I asked her, stroking her hand.

"Yeah." She smiled sweetly.

We got out of the truck and walked hand in hand up the hill. No light was guiding us, we just tried to not step on anything. Once we got to the top we took a few minutes to take in the perfect night sky along with the millions of stars.

I glanced over at Cassie and stared in awe at her. How was I lucky enough to have her standing by me. I noticed a small cut on her chin, probably from the car crash. I grazed my finger over it slightly as her gaze focused on me.

"Ethan really? You have a knife cut on your cheek, this is nothing." She shook her, motioning to her chin.

I stopped inspecting her cut and instead lifted her chin up. I kissed her softly, feeling like I was in a film thanks to the moonlight above us. I reluctantly pulled away, leaving our lips only inches apart.

"You drive me insane." I whispered.

"Good insane or bad insane?" She smirked.

"That depends." I grinned.

We ended up lying on the grass and looking up at the stars. It was a surprisingly warm night, with no harsh wind. Just a slight breeze.

"What do you want to be when you're older?" Cassie suddenly asked me.

"An actor. I would love to act." I smiled to myself, thinking of mine and Grayson's life goal. "You?" I asked, turning my head to her.

"Oh my gosh, so do I! I want to be an actress." She smiled at me.

"How cool would that be if we were both famous for acting." I laughed.

"Yeah, we would be the next Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie." She joked.

"You would obviously be the better half." I grinned as I played with her hair.

"If you mean the better actress then yes." She glanced up at me.

"Hey!" I chuckled as she cut me off with a quick kiss.

"I would want to settle down at one point and have kids though, not just be an actress." She sighed.

"What with me or with some other guy?" I grinned jokingly.

"Hmm I wouldn't mind having you as the father of my children." She laughed playing along.

"I would love to bring up our children together." I nodded, half joking, half not.

"I can't have any of this if I'm not normal." Cassie sat up and hugged her knees.

"Cass, you'll be normal. You'll have your amazing life and your amazing children. We are getting you that antidote. I promise." I sat up after her, putting my hand on her back.

"Thank you." She whispered. "I want that amazing life with you. Once I'm normal I'll have to go back to foster care but I'll always want you." She hugged me.

"I'll wait for you. I'll wait for as long as it takes." I hugged her back tightly.

"We could have a normal life together." She smiled.

"No, we will have a normal life together." I corrected her.

Well that was a nice conversation between them. Imagine meeting someone and then being this attached to them.

PEACE!✌
