Chapter one green eyes.

Charlie's POV

I am finally free! I can't believe it! No more stuck up family! No more pathetic people that live in my small town or went to my stupid high school!

The only person that I am going to miss is my best friend/ grandpa even if his not related to me by blood he is still better then the people that are. His name is Tommy and he is the only one that gave me the time of day. Unless you count the countless people the picked on me for the fun of it. Or should I say to become one of my sisters followers. People like that make me sick. They would rather go through school with fake friends that stab you in the back then to be like me.

I would rather have no friends and be a loner then to have heaps of fake friends but hey that's just my opinion and no one cares about that.

I am now on my way to the uni I got accepted to that I am happy to say that is far away from my home town. That is outside of a city and as you would imagine my parents are all prim and proper. They just love the fact that they are big fish in a little pond if you know what I mean.

They just love the fact that my sister is just like them not just personality wise but look wise while I am the complete opposite.

While they have the whole Barbie and Ken look going. My mum and my sister have dyed blond hair and blue eyes. With a models body. Plus not to mention her spidery long legs that creeps me out.

Then you have me I am short I'm four foot six and I have black and blue dyed hair, plus not to mention I am really chubby. No joke I love food and I am not shy to admit it. Plus I have pimples on my face but oh will I am use to it.

I am not saying that my appearance never gets me down because it does. I try to act confident but it doesn't always work. If it wasn't for Tommy I wouldn't be the person I am today and I am thankful for that. He gave me friendship, love and hope. I know that it sounds cheesy but its the truth.

Plus he taught me how to fix cars and re build them. He even helped me fix up my classic mustang. It's my baby it took me a year to get it running but I am happy to say I paid for it all myself with out my family's help not that they would help me because I am not my baby sister. That thinks her pooh doesn't stink when in reality it smells worse then a pig-stye in summer.

I just finished unpacking my stuff and now I am going for a walk around campus because I have a terrible sense of direction.

It's to late to call tommy so ill have to call him in the morning because I know that he would be worried about me.

I was too busy listening to my iPod and looking around that I ran into something hard that almost made me fall on my bum. When I looked up I was meet by the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen.

"What are you looking at girly?" a deep voice demanded. It sent shivers down my spin in a good way if that makes sense.

I was finally able to pull my eyes away from his so that I could answer.

"I am sorry I didn't mean to stare." I mumbled before spinning on my heel and running back to my apartment as fast as my short legs could take me. Which I am sad to say wasn't that fast I wish that I said yes when Tommy offered to train me in everything military style.

Once I made it back to my place I couldn't help but fall on the couch out of breath. I looked at the clock and saw that it was midnight it is too late to call Tommy so I made a promise to myself that I would call him first thing in the morning.

With that thought I dragged myself to bed, wish I am happy I thought to make it before I went out to explore the campus, it only took me seconds to fall asleep and all I could dream about is beautiful green eyes.

I woke up with a yawn; I got up and stretched before I made myself a mocha so that I could call Tommy so that he knows that I got here safely and in one piece. By the second ring he picked up.

"Hello peanut" Tommy said before I even got a chance to talk.

"Hey Gramps one of these days you are going to have to tell me how you always know that it is me on the phone." I replied with a small giggle.

"I promise I will tell you one day but not today I presume that you got there safely but I am sorry to see I have to go because I have a dear friend coming over."

"Oh ok bye gramps ill call you tomorrow." I couldn't help but feel sad that I didn't get to talk more with him.

"Bye peanut" he said before the line went dead.

I have to say that that is the shortest convocation I have had since I first meet Tommy and I couldn't help but feel a little upset by it.

I looked at the time and realised I had to leave to my first class. It was lucky that I asked them to send me my timetable before I came hear otherwise I would be in big doo doo right now.

I quickly had a shower and did the things I needed to do before running off to one of my history classes because I want to be a historian.

Great I got lost! Now I am going to be late to my first class of the year. Everyone is going to stare at me! I hate when people stare because I have been put down most of my life. Even though I put on a tough front and act like what they say does bother me. It really does it makes me feel worthless and useless.

I knocked on the door gently but hard enough for the teacher to hear.

"Come in" a soft woman's voice called from the other side of the room.

I slowly walked into the room trying not to notice all the eyes that were on me and prying that my voice didn't stutter when I went to talk.

"Sorry I am late Miss I got lost." I said with a small blush on my cheeks.

"It's fine darling take a sit all we are doing today is reading the first chapter and by next lesion I want a five page essay on the subject." She replied with a warm smile. I gave a small smile before I walked to the only seat free in the small class room.

I didn't look at who I was sitting next to even though I could feel eyes on me. I just pulled at my book and realised the first chapter was on one of my favourite history stories. I loved reading about Boudicca's war.

An hour and a half later the bell rang and I am happy to say that I am half way through my rough draft. Hopping up without watching were I was going I ran into someone's hard back. I pull back rubbing my nose because it felt like I ran in to a brick wall.

"We have to stop meeting like this girly" the deep voice I remembered form last night said.

I went to say something to him but I couldn't help but open and close my mouth like a fish from the guy that stood in front of me.
