Chapter six- He's back I know he is

Charlie’s POV

I can’t believe the nerve of him! Treating me like a child! Plus it’s not my fault that the cow at the bar had something against me I haven’t seen her once in my life. Plus another thing why does everyone fear Alex it shows in their eyes.

I am outside getting some fresh air; I just can’t be around Tommy’s friends and family anymore because for one I don’t know them. Number two most of them aren’t every welcoming but what did I expect no one really gets me.

It’s also because I can’t be around Alex anymore because he gives me these feelings I don’t understand. For one why did I get the feeling to go to Alex out of the blue like he needed mm? I am not use to being around so many people, people that I don’t have anything in common with besides the fact that they knew Tommy.

I am not a prim and proper person; I don’t watch what I eat. I don’t need all the newest clothes or my nails done every few weeks. The girl was right I don’t see why Tommy would think of me as a granddaughter. While I am the complete opposite of the people that he knew and the ones that are his family. It makes me wonder if I’ll ever find someone that doesn’t judge a book by its cover.

I was broken from my thoughts when I felt someone tap my shoulder, looking up I saw an old looking woman with a warm smile that could melt butter. She looks around Tommy’s age maybe a little bit younger.

“Hey sugar; my name is Candy and I have to say that Tommy wasn’t wrong when he said that you’re a breath of fresh air.” I couldn’t help but be touched by her words at least I know that not everyone hates me or doesn’t disapprove of Tommy’s choices.

“Thank you I didn’t realise that Tommy talked about me and I am sorry that we couldn’t meet under better terms.” I replied while trying to smile at her. I just don’t know what to do if I should trust her or politely take my leave.

She must have read my thoughts or something because before the words could come out of my mouth she grabbed my hand holding it with both of hers while her eyes were telling me that I could trust her. There was such truth in her eyes that I couldn’t help but believe her. I don’t think that Candy could have a bad bone in her body.

That’s one thing that Tommy said about me was that I was good at reading people even through I didn’t socialise much. He told me that it is a good trait to have. I sat down on the ground under the tree I was walking past so that she would know that I wasn’t going anywhere and I am here if she wants to talk.

“Thank you for giving me the time to have a chat dear most young people wouldn’t like to hang with an old lady in their eyes they would think it to be un cool.”Cindy said with a small giggle that I couldn’t help but smile at.

“I am not like most people my age but I am sure that Tommy already told you that, but I have a feeling at that’s not what you’re out here with me to talk about..”  I was about to apologise because I new that I was being rude. Like I said I am not good with people.

“Oh right you are sugar; I love how you are a straight to the point person you don’t get many girls like that in this day and age.” I couldn’t stop the blush that appeared on my cheeks.

“I am sorry I didn’t mean to come off rude if I did I am not use to talking to people.” I whispered.

“You didn’t come off as rude at all dear; plus ill say what I came to say because I have a feeling that you are going to have some company very soon.” Candy put her hand back on mine before she continued talking. “I have known Tommy for many years and he made me promise to look after the one person that he held dear. I knew from what happened today and how you dressed that it is indeed you. You will come across things that you might not understand just remember I am here for you when the day comes. Good luck dear.”

Candy hopped up and gave me a warm smile while I gave her a confused look that made her giggle while walking away. I didn’t try to stop her I mean I don’t really get what she meant and I knew that if I asked her she would just land up confusing me more.

Most of the people here are weird not in a bad way but its like there is more about them that no one else knows besides people like them. I have to figure it out even if it starts with Alex because I know that I am not going to get a proper night sleep until I do.

After everyone left, I stayed behind not ready to go back to my hotel room yet. I have been study Alex for the rest of the afternoon, seeing how he gives off this strong and deadly vibe. How people even older than him show him respect and sometimes even fear.

I want to stay away from him but at the same time I don’t; it’s like there is something that is pulling me to him, saying that I’ll be safe even though I should fear him. The thing is that I don’t fear him if anything the only thing I fear is fear its self but I know for a fact that he can make me fear him if he really wanted to but I don’t really want to test that.

I asked for one more drink because I know if I have anymore I won’t even be able to walk back to my hotel room, I knew that at the end of the day I wouldn’t be able to drive and I didn’t want to leave my car outside a pub where someone would most likely steal it or something like that.

I grabbed my purse while saying good bye to the bar tender before I started my short walk back to my hotel room I can’t wait to get a good night’s sleep. Hopefully I well have one tonight since I was a little drunk.

Once I was back at my room I didn’t bother changing I just feel on my bed and waited for sleep to overcome me.

~dream~

I opened my eyes and looked around. I was in a place that I didn’t recognise. It didn’t even look like it belongs in the word. It looks like a fantasy; there are animals around that I don’t even know the name of.

Before I could study them any thither, the place that was in front of me started spinning and I couldn’t keep up with how many different colours that were blending together from how fast it was spinning. Before I could blink something I feared the most was right in front of me.

It was like my worst nightmare was coming true. Here right in front of me is someone I can’t make the name come out. All I could do is let out a scream; because his back I know he is.
