Chapter twenty four- The meeting

~Charlie's POV~

Changing into my oldest pair of clothes that I had, because what can I say my dragon loves to pick fights and it seems like she has been up against this Kings before and this time she plans on winning.

Once I made sure my nerves were in check I decided to go meet Alex so that we could get this show on the road. One thing these kings so know is that I won't back down, not like the people before me have done. I am here to make a stand and I am sure as hell going to make one.

Once I saw Alex at the bottom of the stairs, I took a moment to look at him and for the first time tonight I saw how handsome and sexy he looked and how lucky I am that the fates put us together.

"What took you so long beautiful? I was starting to get worried." I gave him a kiss on the check in a way to let him know I am sorry with out having to use my voice because I was afraid it would come out uneven.

We took about a five minute walk to this one spot in the garden when I noticed that Alex was transforming into his dragon.

So I followed suit and it wasn't long tell we were up in the air and I was flying under his left wig because of how tiny I was in dragon form. Which is kinda ironic when you think about it.

I was broken from my thoughts by Cora my dragon.

*Charlie I want you to listen to me and listen to me carefully, your hunch was right when you thought that I was up against these kings before but there is something you must know in order to win.*

-What do I need to know Cora please tell me?-

I could sense that we were getting close to our destination and that we didn't have much time to finish our convocation.

*The kings are going to push you to your limits they are going to forces on your week spots. They are going to try and break you but you have to remember you are stronger then you think.*

-Cora is there something else- I have a feeling that this last bit isn't going to be good.

*The biggest and final thing is that I am not always going to be there to help like.....*

Before she could finish her sentence I noticed that she wasn't there, will her voice wasn't. It was like someone was blocking her but why?

When I looked around I notice we were in some kind of court room. A very all courtroom and I could tell that it hasn't been used in the last decade. So I must be in do do.

"We are hear tonight to decided what should be done, if we should give the weaker sex the right to be equal and I for one think that they should, but as my fellow brothers hear have to voice there opinions, so I want you to make a to think hard before you make your choice." Alex's father the king said.

It didn't take long for them to come to a decision in fact if I didn't know any different I would say that they had already made it long before I arrived.

I could feel Alex's wing wrap around me, and I could feel him trying to speck to me through mind link but yet again someone was stopping them. I must remember to inform the king of this once this meeting of hell is over.

"We have came to a decision our King of Kings" I waiting for what felt like forever from the small (because of his hight) king before he continued specking.

"We have decided that she shell play in the games and if she is to pass all eight of them then we she'll grant her, her wish." What a funny man his acting like he is doing me a big favour at the thought I couldn't help but let out a laugh inside my head.

When I looked up at the king I realised that this wasn't a joking matter, in fact he looked like he was about to argue but he thought better of it. Something must have changed his mind? I wonder what?

"I agree, sent out the invites and pick who shell go first. Meeting finished" he said before he banged his teeth together.

The flight back home was quiet Cora was there but everytime I talked to her it's like she choose not to reply and I have to admit it was getting on my nerves. Not to mention Alex was being super quiet too.

He hasn't said a word to me since we got back home and I was in my room all alone which was different because Alex always came in for a chat before bed or to sleep next to me so I didn't feel so alone.

Plus no one has even told me what these stupid games are and you would think that Alex would have the decency to tell me what the fudge is going on but oh no!

To top it off Cora is ignoring me, the king left before I even had a chance to talk to him and I can sense that they are all down in the kitchen having a good old chat. That's just lovely. Way to make a girl feel loved and wanted!

After sitting around for what felt like hours I decided that I am going to get my answers one way or another.

Stamping my way into the dinning hall I was expecting to have a giant rant to them about how rude it is to not tell me anything and keeping me in the dark but what I saw stopes me in my tracks.

There is everyone I care about sitting in self pity and feeling sorry for themselves, it looks like they are all about to cry but I couldn't help myself but ask what everyone is expecting me too.

"What are the games?"
