N'Aejah

"Aye, aye, go N'Aejah!" The girls said in the background of the snap I was making.

"Y'all are annoying." I laughed. All of us were at the dance studio for practice. Dad had let me practice, so it was all good.

"You tryna get all cute for your boo, Zachary, huh?" Bailey teased and all the girls oohed.

"He is not my boo, y'all need to stop." I shook my head.

"You know he is, all we ever see is y'all walking down the hall together or talking. You barely give any of these niggas the time of day, but you do him?" Lina asked.

"He's just my friend, we had a past back in elementary. He was my only friend, and I was his." I said simply.

"Mhm, whatever. I'ma let you say that all you want." Lina shrugged and the girls laughed. They always do this.

We both turned our heads in the direction of the door and saw my dad come in with bags from Chick Fil A.

"Hey, Mr. Brown." The girls said in unison as Dad put the bags on the table except one.

"Hey, girls. I got y'all some food in case y'all got hungry, okay?" He walked over to us.

"Thanks, Mr. Brown." They thanked him and went over to the bags. He handed me one and I hugged him.

"Thanks, Daddy."

"How was practice?"

"It was fine. How was the studio?" We started walking to the door. "Bye, y'all."

"Yeah, we'll see y'all." We waved.

"Bye!" They said in unison as we walked out.

"It was good, it was good." He said and we got into the Range Rover. Dad drove off shortly after we were in.

Being "Chris Brown's" daughter, there are really no advantages as far as social media. If something surfaces, I see it when everyone else does, if not, after. And recently, there were reports that my mom and dad split. Dad has been leaving the house when he thinks all of us are sleeping for a month, but I know when he leaves. It has honestly been bothering me, because all I've ever wanted was for my parents to be happy... together.

"Dad, I have a question." I spoke up.

"What's up?" He turned down the radio.

"What's been going on with you and mom?" I looked at him and he took a deep breath.

"Why you asking that?"

"I just want to know."

"You know your mother and I have our ups and downs, and right now, I'd say we're at a down." He stated. "But you know even with that, your mother and I love each other and we are trying to work things out the best way for y'all."

"What happened this time?"

Dad hesitated for a moment, and then spoke. "We just having a down time right now, you understand what I mean?"

"No." I looked down. "I've already seen the rumors and the claims, so I just wanted to hear it from you, Dad."

"N'Aejah." He said and I just stared out of the window.

"Did you cheat on Mom again?" I asked and looked at him.

"You know I wouldn't cheat on your mother."

"Did you, though?"

"No I did not." He said sternly, so I just kept my mouth closed.
