Lindsey's physical condition is improving rapidly. Over the course of several weeks his strength is getting much better. He can move about the facility without assistance. His neurological checkups are good, he's very close to being released.

Stevie hasn't come back to see him since she brought Wendy to him. He has tried calling the house for her but Karen always tells him Stevie's busy or gives the phone to Wendy.

Wendy chats with Lindsey about her life and agrees to come see him.

Unfortunately she hasn't been back. Lindsey hasn't called for a couple weeks. He thinks he must be bothering Stevie and Wendy. He decides he won't intrude in their life since it appears he isn't wanted.

Lindsey is coming along very well physically but not emotionally. He feels unwanted and forgotten. He really has lost everything and he knows it's his own fault. He would love to have a drink and possibly a razor blade.

Another problem is that most of the money he had has been spent for his care. His family sold his house and most of his possessions thinking he'd never use them again. Jeff did put his clothes and guitars along with memorabilia from his music career in storage.

Both his mother and Jeff have insisted he come home to Atherton but Lindsey wants to remain in Los Angeles.

Lindsey reached out to Irving Azoff to see if he would represent him and see about getting him working again once Lindsey leaves the hospital. Irving has just arrived and greets Lindsey.

"Hey how are you feeling?"

Lindsey shakes Irving hand and gestures him to sit down. Lindsey takes the other chair in his room and says to Irving

"Thank you for coming, I'm getting released in a couple days."

"I have lost almost everything I really need to work."

"I'm not quite ready to work full time but I'm doing well."

"Have you any info for me?"

Irving smiles warmly and responds

"For Lindsey Buckingham there will always be work!"

"First off I absolutely agree to represent you!"

"Next I got you a room at the Beverly Hills Hilton."

"I've done some checking around and have some offers for you to consider."

Irving goes on to tell Lindsey that his old record label Reprise is interested in signing him for a record deal. The deal included doing a solo album and possibly a reunion tour with Fleetwood Mac next year if Lindsey's physically ready.

Irving tells him the next thing he's got going for him is a two night booking at The Troubadour in six weeks. He says the venue will reschedule if Lindsey isn't ready to play yet, their exited to put his name on their Marquee.

Lindsey tells Irving

"That all sounds fantastic you've done great work!"

Irving responds

"This last part you won't like as much."

"Music Beat wants to do an interview with you about your accident, recovery and future plans."

"Reprise wants you to do this, they think it will be good publicity for your new album."

"The interviewer will also attend your show at The Troubadour for the article."

"Music Beat is offering twenty five grand for the interview and Reprise is willing to cut you a check for seventy five thousand as an advance."

"That's one hundred grand, cash that I know you can use."
