Stevie is devastated. She doesn't have much time to explore it though, her daughter is sobbing next to her. Stevie wraps her arms around Wendy and tries to console her. Eventually Wendy's tears slow and she manages to say to Stevie

"Mom I didn't know he loved me!

"I just knew he was lonely, we have to find him!"

Stevie smiles a sad smile and says

"Maybe it's for the best we leave him alone Wendy."

Even as Stevie says those words she doesn't believe them. There is nothing in the world she wants more than too wrap her arms around him and say that she loves him. Wendy breaks her thoughts and says

"How can it be better off?"

"You said you loved him and he loves you."

"You look at Lindsey different than you look at dad."

Stevie wipes away some tears off her face and grins. She asks

"And just how do I look at him?"

  Wendy replies

"Like you and him are the only people in the world."

  Stevie smiles and replies

"Okay let's go home, when you get there why don't you call grandma Buckingham and see if she knows where Lindsey went to."

Wendy hugs her mom and says

"Thanks mom, I think he really needs us!"

The gals make their way out front and to their hired car. As they ride home Stevie's thoughts take her back to 1983.

  1983

Stevie is sitting by Lindsey's bedside. She had her and Lindsey's infant daughter Wendy on her lap. She has been telling Lindsey all about everything Wendy has been doing this week. She looks at Wendy and says

"Baby girl your daddy has the most beautiful blue grey eyes I've ever seen!"

"I wrote a song about them do you think daddy would like to hear it?"

Sitting on Stevie's lap Wendy is smiling and clapping her hands. Stevie says

"I'll take that as a yes sweet girl!"

"Lets me and you both sing to daddy!"

I saw him the other day
  I saw him again yesterday
I wonder if I'll ever see him again
He reminded me of Blue Denim

Blue grey eyes they change with the color
  Change with the sun
  They run with the sight
  They change with the wind
  But there always bright
  Bright eyes Blue Denim
  Bright eyes Blue Denim

  I knew him another way
  I knew him another day
In some ways he'd forgotten me
In many ways he got to me
I turned away so he couldn't see
I turned away it could never be
But I never thought he'd walk away
But I lost him again yesterday

Blue grey eyes they change with the color
  Change with the sun
  They run with the sight
  They change with the wind
  But there always bright
  Bright eyes Blue Denim
  Bright eyes Blue Denim
