Wait, what!? What happened!?

"Where are the other four?" Aang asked softly as Sokka and I came to stand back to each other and him.

"Forget about them. Just keep an eye out for the King," Sokka answered.

"You know, it shouldn't be hard to spot Muteki," I retorted. "The guy is at least a head taller than everyone here, AND his hair is bright freaking red!"

"Yeah, but we're really short," Aang answered.

"Nope, just you, buddy," I answered with a nudge. "Sokka and I are roughly the same height."

"Guys," Sokka snapped. "We have a job to do here!"

"I don't know what the King looks like!" Aang retorted.

"You know, "royal", flowing robe, fancy jewellery," Sokka answered, grabbing Momo's tail, which was waving in front of his nose.

We looked around, and literally, everyone fitted that description.

"Well, this is like that one game, guess who," I said. "Hey, my turn. Is he a guy?"

Sokka nudged me. "Be serious."

"But he's right Sokka," Aang said. "The King could literally be anyone."

"Another crab puff, please."

We turned to see Toph, Muteki, and Katara standing there.

"You found us," Aang said cheerfully. "Where's Jin?"

"I'd know your little footsteps anywhere, Twinkletoes," Toph said, grabbing some food from Sokka's tray.

"The guy who escorted us in wouldn't let us out of his sight," Katara explained. "Jin was distracting him while we slipped away."

"Still think I should've stayed with her, seeing as how I'm tall enough to see over the heads of everyone here," Muteki grumbled.

"Then you should be able to see him coming," Toph retorted.

While we were all talking and having a grand time, The Grin came running. She didn't look particularly chirpy today, though. In fact, she looked pretty anxious.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, wringing her hands nervously. "You have to leave immediately, or we'll all be in terrible trouble."

She tried to push Sokka, but he blocked her with his tray.

"Not until we see the King," Sokka insisted.

"You don't understand," she said frantically. "You must go."

She shoved Sokka into Aang and me, though while Aang spilled the contents of his pitcher onto a guest, my tray of eats spilled onto the dress of a most unimpressed Jin.

"Oh... uh... hi!"

"Were you able to shake him off?" Muteki asked.

"Seems that way, but we need to hurry and then get out," she said. "I don't like any of this. Something is very wrong here."

"Other than the fact that everyone is staring at Aang?" I asked, pointing at the crowd gathering around the now exposed Avatar.

"Hold their attention while we look for the King," Sokka whispered to Aang.

"I'll need to find a bathroom for real this time," Jin sighed, pushing a bit of something off her skirt.

"Watch this, everybody!" Aang said cheerfully as he leapt out of his busboy clothes and onto the long dining table as the rest of us scattered into the crowd.

Aang swung his arms over the guests' drinks, waterbending the liquid out of the cups. Next, he jumped onto a pitcher and balanced on top of it, bringing the liquid into a swirling, multicoloured ball above his head. The crowd "oohed" at the spectacle, and the bear growled with delight at Aang's antics.

"Good job," I murmured as I started looking out for the King. "All eyes on you, bro."
