Chapter 15 All

Keefe POV

Sophie held my hand as we entered Foxfire. I heard her gasp, which made me smile and look down at her. Her brown eyes absorbed everything like a sponge. All of her features were consumed in wonder.

"It's beautiful," She whispered.

I looked at her and whispered, "Yeah it really is," She looked at me and started laughing. Full blown hysterics.

"What?" I question, letting out a nervous chuckle. She was gasping for air.

"That is the most cheesiest line ever!" She finally manages to get out.

I give her a puzzled look.

"Do you know how many times humans overuse that line? Movies, books, real life?"

I realized what she meant and started to laugh.

"That's what I get for trying to impress someone!" I smile.

She grabs my hand and leads us to the dance floor.

We slow dance for a while, but thank the lord a faster paced song comes on, for a minute I thought Foster was going to fall asleep on me! And, lets just say I still need to regain muscle.

Sophie POV

I was still in awe at the place. Colors flashed, the floor glowed different colors, they had all the mallowmelt you could eat, and their was plants growing everywhere. It was like a dance outside with a flasher! Keefe starred at me a lot, I don't feel as uncomfortable when he does it.

When a fast pace song comes on Keefe goes full out. He dances like a chicken, does the sprinkler, and just moves his body weirdly. (Picture above)

I laugh, and the twinkle in his eye is brighter. I had one of the white flowers in a pocket on my dress. It glowed red, whatever that means. Keefe's eye looked at it, he blushed. It dawned on me what red might mean. Am I angry? Cause I don't feel angry. Then Fitz and Lihn were dancing beside us.

"Lihn, you look amazing!" I gush, she blushes.

"Thanks, but you should see yourself, you're practically glowing!" Lihn beams. Now it's my turn.

"Hey Fitz," I wave awkwardly.

He nods his head in affirmation, but glares at Keefe.

"Hey, I'm going to grab some Lushberry Juice," I say, pointing at the refreshments table. Keefe nods, and puts his arm around me, making me lean into his chest.

Fitz POV

When Lihn and I arrived I saw them right away. They were slow dancing. That should be ME! I can't help but think. I feel angry. How could Keefe do this to me? He had a crush on her, so what, I should be up there! We are the perfect couple, it needs to be me!

Soon Keefe is dancing weirdly, Sophie is laughing and happy. I should be the one making her happy. I drag Lihn over there hoping Sophie would feel jealous, but she just feels awkward. She leaves with Keefe. I dance with Lihn, but all I can think about is Sophie.

Lihn POV

Fitz likes me, right? Why else would he ask me to go to the dance with him? I can't help but notice how distant he is. He's lost in his own thoughts. Maybe Tam is right. Maybe I shouldn't have said yes.
