I ran harder and faster, my sobbing became louder. I ran to the edge of a cliff. I was ready to jump, but I hesitated. It even starts to pour. I run through the rain, jumping over roots. (Does is even rain in the Lost Cities?)

Dex, Dex, Dex.

Sophie needs me to help her find him. NO! No she doesn't, she needs Fitz, someone who isn't a murderer.

I punch my head, and pull at my hair.

Fitz, Tam, she needs them not me. I get ready to jump again.

She'll need someone to care for her when she's upset.

I step back, yeah she will.

Stupid! That's what Grady and Edaline are for!

I get ready to jump again, this time running to the edge. Just when I'm about to jump, strong arms leap and shove me to the ground. The person holds me in a vise like grip.

"GET OFF!" I scream through tears.

"Keefe!" I hear Sophie yell, running from somewhere. I'm soaked in rain and sweat.

The person holding me down stands up, also picking me up.

It was Grady. Sophie runs and hugs me. I push her off. Sadness and fear are written all over her.

"No, I'm a-a monster," I whisper. I turn away from her.

"NO! You are not! You're Keefe, a funny, caring person who's one of my best friends!" I hear her cry.

I walk away, heading towards the leap master, but at the last second I use a brain push in order to change direction.

I'm soon hurdled over the cliff, into the waters below. I hear Sophie scream and then nothing but dark mushy coldness.

I think I hear a faint splash above, but it must be my imagination. I let the dark blue waters envelope me.

The cold will always try to whisk me away.

Sophie POV

I scream as Keefe jumps over the edge.

Please don't let him be the first Elf to-to--NO don't even think about it!

Then I see Grady jump, he dives over the edge. I scream louder, and collapse onto my knees, my tears flow. Soon I pick myself up, and just when I'm about to jump down to see if there's anything I can do, Edaline grabs my arms.

"Sophie, calm down," She says, calmly.

"Grady and Keefe--"

"Are going to be alright," She smiles sadly, we end up sitting on the ground, I cry on her shoulder, she pats my back.

Somehow we end up back inside, Edaline makes sure Sander, who just came back to protect me, doesn't let me leave the room.

She leaves, probably to make sure her husband is still alive. I cry, Sandor tells me Edaline has this, but I cry myself to sleep.

A/N: Okay!
