Cody:

I smiled goofily and sighed, watching Lexie walking off with Tyrah they were laughing and whispering and Tyrah was, from what I saw teasing Lexie and she hit her lightly on the arm. they both turned to look at us and I sat up from my slouch and pretended to be in deep conversation, but I looked stupid because they knew, Tyrah laughed and Lexie raised her eyebrow in bisbelief, of what I didn't know. I smiled, when she turned back around and put my head in my hands. Max laughed at me.

   'it's a miracle, she doesn't know. You are so stupid' he shook his head at me his blond spiked hair shaking wildly at such a small movement. His side smirk really annoyed me sometimes. I rolled my eyes.

   'you are so annoying sometimes, Max' I sighed 'is it that obvious?' I asked

   'hell, yeah!' he scoffed 'It's so funny!' I punched him in the arm

   'shut up, it's not that bad. . . Is it?' I asked hopefully

   'yeah, it is. See what you gotta do is, pretend you barely notice her existence, that she means nothing. . .' he advised

   'you are. . .' you could see on his face he thought I was about to say something like genius 'crazy, you loopo! That's so stupid, why would I listen to you anyway, you're not exactly a "lady's man" Max.' I pointed out

   'sure I am, I have a date this Saturday, You have to let her, come to you.' he advised confidently

   'whatever' I said, reaching into my bag and taking out my notebook and a pen 'anyway, we have to plan the Hallowe'en dance' I felt my heart fall as I remembered Lexie couldn't go with her. . . Condition.

   'okay, we need balloons, streamers, soda, FINGER sandwiches. . . you get it?' he laughed, nI shook my head

   'shut up' I said 'where do you expect to get the money?' I asked

   'the. . . school?' he asked with a grin 'are you going to ask Lexie to go with you?'

   'No, I'm going to bring Jean' -my sister-'to the dance, no I don't think it matters that she's NINE' I said sarcastically 

   'I was just wondering' he defended 'I'm bringing Wendy' he smiled, she was kind of popular

   'how did you do that?' I asked surprised

   'what can I say. . .' he nodded,I stared at him and he sighed

   'I gave her my French notes and gave her my homework but made her take me to the dance in return, but she didn't complain. . . that much' he admitted

   'sure, whatever, anyway we need to set up a fund raiser, I'll ask some others what they think we should do so more people will join in.' I said, sounding very proffesional.

   'and I'll write a list of essentials. . .right after I talk to her' he said looking at one of the girls passing by.I glared at him'to see what fund raiser she'd like to do' we both nodded. 

   'let's go!' I said.

   By the end of the day I had gotton around half the grade to give their oppinion. The most popular choice  was a sleep out in a twenty four hour store. After getting permission we decided to go through with it. Tyrah, Max and Lexie thought it was a great idea too. The night came quickly. Eveyone was excited and many showed up and everyone got along well. Some people brought snacks and others brought money to bye at the store. Max, Lexie, Tyrah and Cody sat together, joking and laughing. Eventually Tyrah fell asleep and then Max fell asleep and the rest of the others who were awake all gathered in a corner talking and playing truth or dare. It was going fine but kind of boring until Tyrah woke up and came over and dared Lexie to kiss the person on her left which of course was me. Lexie glared at her as if she saw it coming. She turned to me and kissed me onthe cheek Tyrah shook her head

   'lips!' Tyrah smile, Lexie rolled her eyes and turned to me and sighed

   'sorry' she said to me and before I could reply her lips were on mine, it was gentle and quick and I was stuck in the moment it ended too soon, I swallowed

   'It's. . . okay. . .' I said, dazed trying to figure out what had just happened, I kept blinking, Lexie was frozen and everyone there was looking and Tyrah was grinning. I felt like singing and dancing and twirling, but I'd fall if i tried even if I wasn't in shock.

The next morning I walked out of the store and let Tyrah and Max walk on. My heart skipped a beat and I was breathing heavily. It came out in a rush

   'Willyougotothedancewithme?' I asked quickly she smiled and swallowed, she considered this for a moment   

   'Yeah' she nodded with a wide smile
