Chapter 13

Lexie:

The doorbell rang loudly, echoing through the house, I took the last bite of my apple, through it in the bin, by the sink and ran to the door, Cody was there in his tracksuit, he looked so curious as to why i called him here

'hi' he smiled 'what's wrong, why did you want me to come over in my tracksuit?'

'I'm training you' I replied, with a smile 'go into the garden, please' I stepped back and let him in the door and let him lead the way to the garden. He stared open-mouthed at the course I had set up with my sisters:

Two parrallel lines of tyres infront on the slide my sisters used, the monkey bars were behind the slide and on the other side of the garden was one of those dummies that you hit but would spring back up. Beside them were toy bow and arrows and gun and foam bullets. Back further were targets I'd painted with my sisters. He gazed at the course, then looked at me, disbelieving,

'are you serious?!' he demanded, I nodded

'yeah!' I smiled and pointed at the tyres 'You're going to run through them, run up the slide, climb down the steps use the monkey bars, don't touch the ground, you will repeat that five times. then you will run over there I will show you how to fight certain monsters in certain ways, then shoot all the arrows, then the bullets at the targets, and then we can have some sandwhiches and water' I went through the scheduel, making sure not to forget anything, he looked over the course a few times, and nodded.

'you go first' he smiled 'show me!' he laughed, I shrugged and went through the course, trying not to trip or mess up, I tried to make it look as easy as possible

'now, go on, your turn!' I instructed he looked uncertain and swallowed

'okay.' he nodded 'let's do this!' he said and ran towards the tyres. He was fast, good. But clumsy, bad. He tripped over the tyres and turned to me, blushing, when he got over his embarrassment, he attempted the course again.

   'sorry!' he said shyly

'don't apologise, just focus!' I told him 'and please, watch where your going. Especially when your running the tyres!' I warned, I clapped my hands 'Come on! Come on! What are you waiting for.' I yelled trying to sound like a coach, as he re-tried the course. He stumbled and fell on the slide

'focus!' I yelled 'watch your step,' he concentrated and ran up the slide 'yeah that's it! Moves your knees! This is not dance class, Cody! Burn some calories! This is good for you!' he rolled his eyes at me 'I saw that!' I yelled, he smiled but kept going.

Eventually, after around two hours he was finished and we ate some sandwhiches

'so... what are you doing tomorrow?' I asked between bites

'um. . . attempting trying out for football. . .' he admitted, with a shy smile, I nearly choked on my sandwhich.

'what? Why?' I demanded 'they'll kill you out on the feild!' I warned him, he nodded

'I'll practice. . . and I'll get better.' he said, I shook my head at his positivity

'okay, just be careful!' I warned him,'please!' he rolled his eyes at my over protective nature over him.

'okay then, let's go.' he said standing 'let's re-do this course!'  and walked to the garden. This time he completed the course flawlessly and left before scheduel. I was very happy with his progress. I hugged him even though he was sweaty and kissed his cheek.

'I'll see you tomorrow' he said and I walked him to the door, I hugged him again, smiling.

   'see you!' I smiled

'bye!' he waved and walked away down the road, looking perfect, as always. My Cody, the clumsy, cute, guy that everyone loves.
