Chapter 12

Cody:

I woke up with the biggest grin on my face. All I could think of was Lexie. I ate pancakes for breakfast. I went upstairs and decided to get something for Lexie on eBay, I went through all the jewllery and eventually found locket, my sister, Jean said a ring said too much, I ordered the heart-shaped,silver locket, I hoped, if she had a werewolf side wasn't effected by silver. I got a call on y mobile on my desk

   'Jean? Check who it is, for me.' she nodded and smiled

   'Your soulmate' she laughed and through the old phone to me it said it was Lexie, I preeses the answer button and Jean left the room to give me privacy.

   'hey Lexie' I smiled at the thought of her 

   'hi, Cody' she said sounding sad and guilty, my heart dropped

   'Lexie, what's wrong?!' I asked worried

   'Cody, we can't go out, I'm so sorry, Last night I wasn't thinking, I was so happy-'

   'Then don't end this!' I interupted, I was so upset, I brushed my hair out of my face with my hand, in fustration

   'Cody, my world is dangerous, too dangerous, you can get easily hurt, and Cody you're clumsy, and I used to be too. But you can't be like that in my world'

   'I'll work on it, Lexie, please don't do this! I'm begging you!' I said sounding desperate, but I didn't care, she sighed

   'okay, this isn't something to do over the phone, I don't believe I did that!' she said

   'this is nothing to do at all! Lexie,please'she sighed again, I could hear her getting upset

   'Cody, there is despicable evil in my world and they thrive on human blood and on the human death!' she explained

    'Lexie, you're half human!' I replied, she started crying

   'Cody, I don't want to end this! I really like you! But. . . you don't understand' she said between sobs

    'Lexie, I do, but you don't understand either, I've liked you, since I first saw you!' she froze with surprize

   'really? Ditto!' she said happily, she sniffed

   'Lexie! I'll chance it all for you!' I said, she giggled

   'and I, you' she said and sniffed again

   'you're not getting rid of me!' I said seriously, she swallowed

   'okay' she sighed again 'Cody?'

   'Yeah?' I asked with a smile, hoping I'd won

   'Be careful! Okay?' 

   'Yeah, I will! Bye' I said with a wide grin, I blew a kiss into the phone as a joke

   'Bye, Cody' she said and hung up. I repeated the conversation over and over in my head, wondering what creatures she was talking about, I grew anxious but didn't care, Lexie was too precious to let go of. I didn't think I could, ever. She was Lexie Jones. How could I let her go

I was up town with Max and I saw a flash of dark,murky green around the corner of a builing, then again later. Eventually I saw a large, dark green being it was following me for the next few days, it was freaking me out.

One day I was with Lexie and she saw it too. Her mouth dropped and eyes widened.

   'oh my Gosh! Oh my Gosh! Oh my Gosh!' she said really quickly

   'what, Lexie what is that?' I asked

   'that's a Dorphling!' She whispered looking at it

   'you just made up that name yourself right now!' I laughed, she looked at me seriously and shook her head

   'that is a creature from my world! Have you seen him before?' She asked like a worried mother

   'yeah, I have, for a few days now' I said, she nearly lost it

   'why the helll didn't you tell me?!' she asked angrily 

   'I didn't think it meant anything' I said, she started to walk up to it but it ran away when it saw her coming. She rolled her eyes and walked back she took out her phone and dialled a number

   'hey, Holly!' there was a reply 'Yes I'm fine put Dad on now, please' there was a pause 'Dad, there's a Dorphling following Cody......Yeah.......No it ran away.......I'm sure, he saw it a few times.....okay see you soon, bye'

   'what's going on?' I asked

   'We're goin to my house, right now to see what's going on.' We walked to her house and she asked me questions and I answered at the house her dad asked similar questions and told me what to do, he said he'd make me a Dorphling repelent and give it to me soon. I walked home on my own and decided I'd join football or something, become stronger and more agile to survive in her world. Anything it took.
