EPILOGUE

After 36 months of being engaged, they finally decided to get married… Malapit na ding matapos ang dream house nila. It is an early gift from Steven’s parents. Naging very hands on ang couple sa details ng wedding. From the color motif, sa reception details, whole entourage, the flowers,the floral arrangement, the food, caterer, pre nup details, the gown, the church, everything. They wanted their wedding to be perfect, especially Liz. Because she’s been dreaming for a perfect wedding long ago. 

Yung only son nina Ate Jess at Kuya Pat ang ring bearer nila, Troy will be Steven’s Best Man and Ate Jessie will be the Matron of Honor. Of course kasama sa entourage ang sina Krizzia, Irish, John and RJ at iba pang teammates ni Steven sa basketball before at kasama ni Liz sa Vball team… They also asked Irish and John to sing their song for them.

One week na lang wedding na nila, pareho na silang on leave sa work. Galing sila sa rehearsal ng wedding. Dumiretso sila sa bahay na pinapagawa nila to check on the development of it… then umuwi na sila… 

L: sa bahay ka muna, I have to give you something. (sabi nito while her man is driving.)

S: ano nanaman? Hindi ka pa ba napapagod isurprise ako?

L: no, I will never get tired of it.

Pagdating nila sa bahay, wala ang parents nila coz of a business meeting,umakyat sila sa room ni Liz. She handed him a box.

S: what’s this? (he asked while opening it, nagulat siya, it was her scrapbook)

L: I made that before you left for Canada. Memories of our childhood. Pictures together, Tickets sa kung saan saan. I just hope iot will bring back good memories… (she explains while Steven scan it. Nakita niya na to before, without iz’ knowledge, but still natatawa siya sa picture nila nung bata pa sila. Nakita nya ulit yung Ring at dried flower na binigay niya.)

S: hindi ko naman kelangan pang alalahanin yung childhood ko, I know I am very happy because I spent it with you. Besides, I have all the fondest memories of you now…

L: would you believe that, I was engaged when I was 6 years old? And the funny ting is, I am engaged wit the same person again after 18 years.

S: well, maybe we’re really meant for each other then. (he said while wrapping her in his arms. then her phone rang, it was Andrea) Hello?

A: Hi Steven, Andrea here. How are you?

S: Im doing great. (natagal nang nawala ang galit nila ni Liz kay Andrea, pinatawad na nila eto when they finally got engaged, at least hindi na sila nito magugulo pa)

A: I heard you and Lizette are getting married a week from now.

S: yah, we’re looking forward to that day.

A: how I wish I am there to witness your wedding, pero ok na siguro yun, baka maisipan ko pang tumutol sa kasal pag nagtanong ang pari.

S: Andrea?

A: Hey I was just kidding! Im happy for te both of you.. After all, kayo pa din…. True love huh?

S: yah.

A: Steven, Im sorry for everything, I know you’ve gone mad but really, im sorry.

S: Matagal na namen kinalimutan yun andrea, you’re forgiven already.

A: thank you. Is Liz beside you right now? I want to talk to her, I know nasaktan ko siya. Don’t worry hindi ko siya aawayin.

S: wait, here she is. (tinawag niya si Liz) Mie, it’s Andrea, she wants to talk to you (tumabi si Liz sa kanya and talked to her fiancee’s ex.)

L: HI Andrea. (casual na bati niya dito, pinapaikot ikot niya ang engagement ring niya while talking to her… napansin yun ni Steven, he thought tensed ang Fiance niya kaya hinawakan niya ang kamay nito)

A: Hi Lizette, I just want to congratulate you sa wedding niyo ni Steven. Believe it or not, Im happy for you. I’ve come to realize na hindi ko kayang pantayan lahat ng nagawa mo for him. I love him, but not as much as you do.

L: Thanks Andrea. (kay Steven ito nakatingin, ngumiti lang ito)

A: I know he’ll take good care of you because he loved you so much. I’ve never seen him so happy nung kame pa… iba yung saya niya pag kasama ka niya Liz, I know your both lucky to have each other and Im happy for that. So sad, na hindi ko mawiwitness yung wedding niyo. Best wishes to you both! And, I love you both! Hope we can be friends.

L: Of course. Pag pumunta ka ulit dito, maybe we should spend time to bond.

A: thanks liz for being so forgiving and understanding.

L: Thanks Andrea.

A: sige na, baka maiyak pa ko dito knowing you’re happy with him… haha! Just kidding! (narinig niya na tumawa din si Liz sa other line)

L: ok, bye Andrea, take care!

A:, bye and best wishes! (yung lang at binaba na nito yung phone. Naramdaman ni Liz yung sincerity ni Andrea while talking to her, though alam niya, mahal pa din ni Andrea si Steven.)

L: She still loves you bie… but she said she’s happy for us.

S: I know, but I only have one heart, and you own it now… (and kissed her forehead) I love you soon to be Mrs Lizette Casino.

L: I love you more, Engr. Steven Casino.
