Chapter 16

Giselle's POV
Saturday morning

Last night Jacob just walked me home and helped me get up the ladder to my room. I woke up to check my phone, as usual, and saw a bunch of texts. From Zach. I've been wondering what to do about him. Because I went there to explain and get back with him, but when he got there all I wanted was for him to go away. I'll answer him later, but I don't know what to say. Idea! I'll invite Brooklyn over, I need to update her on all my boy drama anyways.

Me: morning 😋 can you come over later & sleepover too ?

brookie 🤘🏼💖: I'll ask. What time?

Me: I haven't even asked my mom 😂 but it's like 10 rn so at 1?

  While I wait for Brooklyn to answer I leave my phone on my bed, go brush my teeth, and go find my mom.

"Good morning mother," I said, trying to act all formal.

"Good morning daughter, how was your slumber?" my mom said playing along with me. We just burst out laughing, we're pretty weird.

  "Ok that's enough," I said, still laughing. "But can Brooke come over later and spend the night too?" I asked, knowing she'd say yes.

  "OF COURSE! I haven't seen Brooklyn in a while since you've been spending a lot of time with... other people," my mom said. By other people, I knew she meant Jacob. But she knows I know who she meant so I'm just not gonna bring it up.

  "Ok, thanks! I'll go get some cereal and text Brooke that she can come," I told her.

Me: my mom said you could come over & sleepover , what'd your mom say ?

brookie 🤘🏼💖: I can come over & sleepover 😋 I'll be there in an hour

  This is usually how we plan our sleepovers and hangouts, randomly. It could be the second she's about to leave, or I'm about to leave, when we ask if we can have a sleepover.

So for that whole hour while I wait for Brooklyn to get here, I go on my fan account. I post a giveaway thing for my account. I have like 5k followers now, I grew a lot since I went to magcon and started to post really rare pictures of Jacob that no one else could get (since I took them while we hung out). For the caption I just put "giving away my acc! don't worry, it's not for reasons like I'm sad and stuff, it's just really personal stuff that I can't tell anyone. so everyone post this pic w/ the hashtag #gisellesgiveaway, dm me the reason why you want my acc & I'll pick who I think deserves it 😋". After I posted that I got a few dm's from people saying why they want the account and then I also got texts from my internet friends asking why but I said it's way too personal, I can't say that I hang out with Jacob all the time and it's just awkward. I'll probably tell like 2 of my closest internet friends. Like Katherine and Allison. I'll tell them right now, in a group chat.
