Ch16-Hunting

Aphmau's P.O.V.

I wake up with much excitement. Today is the day the thieves are going into the enchanted woods. You see Ross and I found out that there is a special berry there that tastes like magical dust, we don't k ow what that tastes like but it sounds amazing.

After much consideration by Katelyn she finally said yes. I'm so excited to go to the forest because we get to go camping as well. I had to promise to do the washing and Ross has to do the dishes for the next month but it's worth it.

It's been three weeks since I met Zane in the town. I haven't seen or heard from any of the nobles which is a bit relieving. The thieves didn't suspect that I let them go. I've been secretly trying to make it up to them.

I do people's jobs before they do so they don't need to do it. I'm just happy that I can keep my friends. I really didn't want to loose them over keeping the nobles here to gain information. But I wonder what they are up to? Maybe I won't see them again...

Gene's P.O.V.

I am woken up by my brother Dante throwing a shoe at me.

"Gene wake up we are going hunting in the magical forest" He says

"Ughh go away" I reply, my voice muffled under the pillow

"Gene, hunting, killing" Dante says sarcastically

In a split second I am up and getting dressed. I may seem nice but I'm actually evil. Well I wouldn't say evil evil. Just not the best person ever. I like hunting a lot because it allows me to vent frustration. But I've never been inside the magical forest before, I wonder what type of animals it has?

I join everyone in the dining room for breakfast before we go. Cadenza says that she doesn't want to go see animals get killed. Vylad doesn't want to go either. Lowell and Fenrir seem really excited though, I guess it's a werewolf thing.

When breakfast is over we walk out to the stables. I saddle up my horse and climb on. Soon enough everyone is ready to go to the forest so we set off. I feel really good about today, maybe we will find a new animal, or some amazing tasting meat.

We enter the forest and begin to look around for animals. Of course there are certain animals that we can't kill so we leave them alone. No one is allowed in this forest without permission because it belongs to the Lord Of Phoenix Drop.

We come across a strange animal with the body of a wolf and the wings of a bird.

We chase it through the forest and Garroth manages to shoot it. It runs into a clearing and what we see there shocks us. It's... The thieves. We jump into the bushes to hide.

There are a few big tents set up.
