Ch35-Hidden Room

Ivy's P.O.V.

My plan is working perfectly. Aphmau has been here for about two days and she hasn't come out of her room. None of the nobles have come to see her except Dante and Garroth. I do t know if any of the nobles know she is here.

Aphmau seems really depressed so everything is turning out as I hoped. But I know for a fact that she is good at acting so she might not actually be depressed. If all else fails I will just kill her. I hear footsteps coming towards me.

It's really early in the morning, who else would be up? I hide behind a statue and peek out. I see Aaron sneaking past me and he is walking towards Aphmau's room. Wait does he know that she is here? I'm going to follow him to see what's happening.

He enters Aphmau's room and I press my ear lightly to the door. I can't hear anything. I have half a mind to walk in there and ask him what he thinks he is doing. But in the end he is a noble and I can't pry into anything he does. I start to walk away and I head to the throne room.

Aaron's P.O.V.

I knew that Ivy was following me. She is about as subtle as a gun shot. I also know that she is the reason Aphmau is here. Only Dante, Garroth and I do but we are pretending not to know. If we give away that we know Ivy might do some hing to all of our friends so we need to protect them when we can. I was silent for a few minutes until, I head Ivy walk away.

I walk over to Aphmau who is asleep. I shake her awake and she opens her beautiful eyes. I smile softly and she yawns.

"Good morning" she says

"Hey Aphmau, Ivy has been keeping you under close watch" I say sadly "so I want to sneak out with you and walk around the palace gardens"

"Ohh I would love to" Aph says smiling

"Ok, I'll see you soon" I reply

I leave while Aphmau is getting ready, not that I would have really complained staying but I think she would have minded. Anyway I walk back to my own room to make sure that I look presentable.

Aphmau's P.O.V.

I grab the first dress I see in my closet and I get dressed.

I still don't care much about how I look in these gowns. I don't think it should matter if you're wearing a million dollar dress or a bunch of rags.

I wait a short while until Aaron comes back and we head out to the garden. We have to be quiet so we aren't caught. I show him a few secret passages that have been made by the thieves over the years. He seems very shocked to find out about them.

We look over at all the flowers that are starting to bloom. Spring is almost here so a few of the flowers can start to bloom. I can't wait to see the castle flower gardens in full bloom as it will look absolutely beautiful.

Suddenly I hear footsteps running behind me and I turn to see Laurance trying to catch his breath.

"Aphmau?" He asks "what are you doing here?"

"Walking isn't the gardens" I reply

"No I meant here, in the castle" he says playfully rolling his eyes

"Ivy blackmailed her so now she is with us again until Ivy makes her next move" Aaron says

"I knew that guard was a bad person " Laurance states "Are you ok? Did she do anything to you"

"Laurance I'm fine" I giggle

"Great, now where are we walking" Laurance smiles

"Wait, we?" Aaron asks

"Yes we, I'm joining. Let's go" Laurance smirks

He pulls me along with him and Aaron follows us. We look through all the different plants and small structures in the garden. There is a white gazebo where we sit down for a little break.

Laurance and Aaron talk about some sort of lord training.

We get up to walk again and I realise that we are actually really far away from the castle. Still in the gardens, but we have walked very far away. Something catches my eye. It is a door in a tree.

I point it out and Aaron and Laurance say that they have never seen it before.

We walk over to it and try to open it. It is locked.

"Now what?" Laurance asks

"Give me a second" I say taking a bobby pin out of my hair

I put it into the lock and wiggle it around. Eventually I hear a click and I push the door open.

"How did you do that?" Aaron asks shocked

"Practice, now come on let's go" I smile

We walk inside and I notice how clean it looks. Someone has been here recently. It looks like a magic room. There are bottles of weird indigents and shelves of potions. I look through the potion and drink one that says potion of invisibility.

I walk up behind Laurance and tap his shoulder. He turns around and screams because no one is there. The potion wears off and I a, laughing. He jumps over to me and tickles ,y sides which have me begging for mercy.

We end up spending hours in the potion room looking through al, the different thinks. Lucinda would love this place. Maybe this is her place, no she would have told us if it was.

Eventually the sun is setting and we realise that it's time for dinner. We all run back to the castle. As I'm about to head back to my room Aaron grabs my hand and says that I should eat dinner with the nobles. I agree and now I am sitting eating dinner next to Cadenza and Garroth. I am getting many questions but I can give to much away.
