Outside the Wall -Levi X Reader

Training

  ~Levi POV~

We all set up and ready, tomorrow we venture into the big ass trees and see if Erwin's suspicions were correct. Or els this was all for nothing. I watch my team run laps in the lazing sun. If Erwin was correct then what if we get into even more danger because of it. I really hope tomorrow goes well.

~Petra's POV~
Corporal Levi looks really stressed. Maybe it's about tomorrow. Erwin seems to have his mind set on something but I don't really know what exactly. "Keep going Ral," he yells at me, I didn't realize I slowed down. Picking up my pace I catch up with the others. I'm sure everything will be fine. After all, Levi will be there to protect us.

~(Y/n) POV~
"Ok! Today is not the day to be lazy~" I chirp to my friends and they look at me. The twins sigh, everyone els seems ok with it. "We need to get back into training!"

"But whyyyyy," the twins chime in, "we live in the middle of no where, the weird Giants don't even pay attention to us anymore and-" I interrupt them.

"Do I really need to remind you what happened last time we were careless..." Everyone shuts up. Ever since that nightmare I can't get that image of them all dead out of my head. "I just want us to freshen up our skills, is that too much to ask?" Everyone agrees and training starts. We all grab our WD's and attach them to our backs as we head out to the balcony.

WD= Winged Devices.
A contraption made by Sam to get around faster than horses and made to be a weapon if needed. After scavenging parts from the 3DMG off dead bodies he made the Winged Devices to act as actual wings. The wings are made of metal blades for weapon purpose but covered by feathers to be able to glide in the wind. By connecting it to your back and each wing has a small gripping handle for flight and control your wings. Each device has to be fitted wing span to match your arms. The only way to launch is to jump from a high level to pick up speed. Risky but rewarding.

We all make it to the top level of our house and I open two large doors that opens up to the woods. "Let's go! First one to the meadow is the winner!" I dive head first, not to far behind is Amber and Sam. Sam of corse is a pro but so are we.

We had these since we were 12 years old since Sam is a pure genius for only having teaching till 5th grade. We all slowly got smarter with books we stole from the walls but, I banned anyone of us going there since last time the gates opened and the green men came out. Many died as the giant creatures came and ate them.

(A/n, because their village was killed when they were young they didn't have much to go off of in the brain department. And so they only have the span of 5th grade when it comes to math and reading. But when it comes to fighting and that stuff they are very knowledgeable.)

As we reach the 20 feet mark till the ground I grip my wings open and I am pulled up by the wind and start to move my arms. It burns the first couple of times but I easily get back my composure after the large impact. Gliding through the air smiling and feeling the wind in my (H/l) (H/c) hair is amazing.

~Sam's POV~
I fly not too far behind (Y/n) as we dodge tree limbs and pass the creatures below. I catch up to her and I look at my best friend to see her (E/c) eyes light up with life. I love seeing her happy and nothing makes her happier than flying. I remember when we were little and I made the first prototype of the WD.
~flashback~
I just showed everyone my device, I showed how it worked and not surprised when they didn't really get it but accepted my idea. Then there was (Y/n). Her (E/c) eyes lit up and she smiles from ear to ear. "OMG Sam!" She said, "Your amazing! How did you come up with this?! We are so lucky to have the smartest person in the world as a friend," she praised me. I smiled at her reaction and so did the others. Amber and Alex joined in messing with the wings as I set it up on (Y/n)'s back. Travis helped her when she fell from the weight. I guess I'm going to have to work on that. Daisy fixed (Y/n)'s hair since it got messed up in her fall. Seeing them smile made me smile too.
~end of flashback~
I loved our little group. I smiled and glided past (Y/n) and saw her gasp in shock. Amber got to her and giggled. Everyone els behind catching up. "Come on (Y/n)! I thought this was a race!" Alex said as he glided up to her.
