She laughs. An adventure? To where? As he was getting into the car, she was looking at the dashboard. "This car..." she breathed. It was so expensive. How was he able to afford this car? He didn't look rich. He didn't act rich. Wrapped in her own thoughts, she glanced in the rearview mirror. Then did a double take. A guitar in the backseat. She grinned. He couldn't get anymore perfect.
Arcus listened to her laugh with a grin. He loved the sound. It was so soft and harmonious, just like her voice. Just to be silly, he slid over the hood of the car to get to the drivers side.
She laughed at his hood slide, leaning back into the seat. 'Such a gentleman.' she said sarcastically in her head. As he got into the car, she pointed her thumb at the guitar. "You play?" she asked.
He chuckles a bit and lightly puts his finger against her lips and whispers, "Shhh. You'll ruin the surprise."
Kassie shrugged and gave a small smile. "Alright. So where are we going?" she asked.
"First to the beach. I'm not telling you anymore than that, or it'll fully ruin the surprise." he said. He closed and locked their doors, starting the car and beginning to drive. "We should be there in about 20 minutes. You can control the music if you like. And you can broadcast! There's a go pro on the dashboard."
His Italian accent slipped. Arcus figures that if she and her fans can see how they should be treated then they won't settle for the arrogant assholes out there. Plus, he was trying to get on Kassie's good side.
Kassie nods, smiling. She stares back at him, her hazel eyes showing excitement. She had saw the go pro when she got in. "This is not happening. Thank you so much." She smiles and connects it up, beginning her broadcast. She watches the viewers flood in, complimenting the new set up she had.
"Welcome back to the KasKat headquarters." She laughs. "Our special guest is Arcus, I guess."
The comments fill with capital words, wanting attention from him.
"He's driving guys, chill." She says with a laugh in her voice.
Arcus laughs. "Hey guys. I'd love to chat but she's right, I'm driving. We're headed to the beach for a little surprise." He says this as he's staying focused on the road. He bites his lip in anticipation of what he has planned. And to think that he was able to set this up in minutes? He chuckles to himself. 'I'm just lucky that she doesn't have a boyfriend. Yet.'
The chat literally explodes with comments. Kassie laughs, reading them out loud.
"I ship it.
They must be dating.
Dude, let's trade boyfriends."
Kassie shakes her head, smiling. "Honestly guys, I have no idea what's going on. He literally just told me 'Hey, let's go to the beach' about 20 minutes ago. I don't know what he's doing." she laughs, running a hand through her hair.
Arcus laughs. "Hey I'm a Sagittarius, we're spontaneous." They stop at a red light. "And full of adventure." He says and wiggles his eyebrows in a goofy way.
"I'm a Libra, so we should be good." She laughs, running a hand through her hair.
The light turns green and he focuses on the road again. "So do you like the beach? I probably should have asked that first..."
She looks at him, smiling. "I love the beach. I would've came more prepared attire wise, at least." she said. She looked at the comments, looking at pictures they managed to spam the chat with. She laughed and blushed, covering her face. "Are we really starting up the ship pictures again?"
Arcus laughs, grinning. He caught a quick glance at the ship pictures they made, screenshots of them from the earlier broadcast. "Well this is just one part. Don't worry, we're not going into the water THIS time. We're just going to have fun on the pier."
20 minutes later...
Arcus parks his car at the pier, grinning. "We're here! You can take the go pro if you want to. It detaches and you can wear it around your neck." he explains.
Kassie laughs, wearing the camera as a necklace. "We're going on an adventure, right?"
Arcus gets out of the car and slams his door, running to Kassies side and grabbing her hand. "You know it! Let's go!" he said happily.
Kassie took off her seat belt and gets out of the car, closing the door. "I'm coming!" she says with a laugh.
Arcus gives a pretend exasperated sigh. He picks her up bridal style and laughs. "You move too slow!" he says.
Kassie laughs as she's picked up, grinning. "Arcus!" She's aware that the cameras there, but she doesn't care. "Where the hell are we going!?" she says through giggles. She knew this night was about to be tons of fun. If only she knew.
Arcus laughs and carries her for 10 minutes with his guitar strapped to his back. "The Ferris wheel." he looks up at the ride. "This is just our first stop here." He grins a nervous, crooked smile. "And then I'm getting you one of those ridiculous oversized stuffed animals."
Kassie smiles, her giggling calmed. She realizes the camera, laughing a bit more. "Hey guys... I'll broadcast later. Stay up to see pictures." she grins as the comments flood with heart emojis, telling her to have fun and not get pregnant. "Kassie signing off." She quickly ends the broadcast, smiling. She looks up at the ride, grinning. "Why exactly would you do any of this?"
"Spoken plainly... genuine concern for others is such a rarity these days, no matter where you go or what country you're in. I think that your kind heart deserves to receive the love and compassion that it gives." Arcus pauses and puts Kassie down as they arrive at the glowing wheel. "You ready to go on the ride?" He grins and secretly slips the operator a $20. He had struck a deal with him only minutes ago and his fee was $20 so he could pull it off.
Kassie nods, bouncing on her toes excitedly. At a fair, the Ferris Wheel was always her favorite ride. "Hell yeah! Thank you so much. I could never think of something this extravagant for you. I'll really try though." She runs a hand through her hair. She wasn't sure if this was a date, but she didn't question it. Some people can actually be nice and it can be platonic, right? Not that she wanted this to be platonic but god, Arcus was too perfect for her.
"You being who you already are is extravagant enough for me." he smiles and puts his guitar on his lap, sitting down on the ride. Arcus still secretly loves it when she runs her hand through her hair. He thinks it's the cutest thing in the world besides cats.
Kassie sits in the ride beside him, grinning. "I have to repay you somehow. I'll take you to dinner or something." She looks around as the ride slowly goes up, sighing happily. "It's really pretty, huh?" She looked around at all the lights of the fair. The screaming children, the lights, and the glistening water was just purely beautiful to her. She took a quick picture of it all, grinning.
Arcus smiles. "Its not as pretty as another view I know... " he looked at her as she took a picture, admiring her. Out of his 19 years, he's never seen anyone as beautiful as she was. He feels the ride slowing as it stops with them at the top. Soon, the operator yells up to them:
"Hey! Sorry guys, but you're gonna be up there until we get a mechanic out here to fix this thing! Sit tight!"
