Back downstairs...
Arcus was mingling with a few people he had let in. Everyone wasn't downstairs yet, and he refused to let the party start. He looked around the room at the party. Miranda and her squad and set up 5 tables worth of food and drinks. Lights of blue, pink, green, yellow, and purple were flashing around the room. They had moved all the couches to one side of the room, so they had space to dance.
"Arcus! Vultures!" David yelled out angrily.
Arcus quickly whipped his head around towards the door. Photographers and reporters were clicking on their cameras, trying to get a party scene. He balled up his fist. He was still angry about what they did to Kassie only a few hours prior. He began storming outside, followed by his friends. These vultures weren't about to ruin Kassies party.
Back upstairs...
The girls had finished Kassies hair and makeup. She looking stunning.
Crystal grinned. "Hostess with the mostess."
Sophie crossed her arms and looked out the window. Dread filled her. "Arcus is about to break a few cameras."
From their point of view, Arcus didn't look too happy. His face was red with anger. It looked like he intended on breaking every camera on the premise before he would be calm again.
"They just seem to love us!" Kassie said sarcastically. "Alright. You guys stay here and let people in for the time being. I've gotta get to Arcus." she said.
Sophie and Crystal nodded. The three girls ran downstairs. Kassie ran outside, pushing her way throw the wave of photographers and party goers. She had to get to Arcus. Before it was too late.
Back with him...
"Go away! We're trying to have fun!" Arcus snapped. He was going off on everybody. Everyone was too afraid to snap a picture of an angry Arcus. "Leave!" he yelled. Goliath, Eric, David, and Arcus were towering over everyone. All of a sudden, a hand was slipped in his own. He felt his anger start to go away.
"Sweetness, let's go back in the house. We can't let them ruin this. We'll recruit a few guards for the night and tell them to not let the media in. Alright?" her voice softly whispered.
Arcus softly sighed, squeezing his girlfriends hand. He looked at her, blanking out for a second. He didn't hear the music coming from the house. He didn't hear photographers. He only heard her voice. He only saw her. His anger went away completely, his vision of blood red returning to normal. His hardened expression turned soft. He took another deep breath, looking at Eric. "Shut the gates and call our body guards to them. Mo Bann Rhi has worked too hard on this for me to let anyone or anything ruin it."
Eric nodded, hearing his instructions. He, Goliath, and David ran to the gates, forcing all the media outlets out. They immediately closed the gates, leaving the press behind a 15 foot gate. A slab of steel that was 2 inches thick. No one was getting in unless the guards let them in.
David jogged, over to a side gate, letting in the people who were hired. Bartenders, guards, and, dj's. Even some people who just wanted to attend.
Arcus sighed in relief, looking around. Everything was under control. He looked down at Kassie, picking her up with a grin. "We're both going back in the house. The guys and everyone can handle the rest. You've done enough, alright? Rest with me for a bit before your party begins, hostess. Also, there's a surprise waiting for you upstairs as well."
Kassie laughed and nodded, snuggling her face into his neck. "Only for a little bit, I guess."
She grinned, pride filling her. She felt the music pulse from the house. She heard everyone yelling and talking and dancing. She seemed to beam at her hard work paying off.
