'What if she turns on me again?' he thought to himself. But he couldn't help himself. He softly kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms around her slightly tighter. He sighed softly out of happiness. He didn't want to let go. He didn't know what to say. But he did know what to sing.

"I'm sorry that I fell in love tonight
I didn't mean to fall in love tonight
You're looking like you fell in love tonight
Could we pretend that we're in love?"

Sophie and Crystal stared at him wide-eyed. They didn't really believe that he sang until now. How had this girl brought it out of him?

Kassie got up and hugged Arcus around his neck instead, sniffling. She softly sang back:

"And I try to refrain
But you're stuck in my brain
And all I do is cry and complain
Because seconds aren't the same."

She took a second to calm down a bit. She pulled away so that she could look at him. "I'm so, so, sorry Arcus. I was an ass. A real one. And for no reason too. I'm sorry."

Arcus relaxed under her arms, wanting to hug her tighter. But he refused. 'Stop being so careful!' he thought to himself. 'Did being careful get you where you're at now?! No!' he mentally shrieked. He softly smiled at her. "We're alright." he said simply, kissing her forehead again.

'He looks so happy and content. Like his anger and self-hatred have subsided. Is it because of her?' Sophie wonders.

Crystal was simply thinking, 'They look so cute together! Wait. Where are the rest of my madeleines?' She thought as she looked through her purse. Crystal always had a secret cookie but unbeknownst to her, Sophie ate it.

Nala happily mewed from Kassie's feet. She likes Kassie for some reason, and she deemed it necessary to keep her warm. Good call for a cat. She makes a better doctor that that first guy.

Kassie forgot that Crystal and Sophie were there. She forgot they were even in a hospital. In her head, it was just Arcus and her, in their own little world. Even if it was for just a few minutes. She pulled away and softly kissed his lips, immediately hugging him again after.

Arcus quickly kissed her back, pulling her back into a tight hug. Dear God, her lips were so soft. He never wanted to stop kissing them. He sighed happily, in his own little world of bliss with Kassie.

"Get a room!" Sophie yelled.

Crystal shook her head and pinched Sophie's arm. "They do. We're in it, dweeb."

Arcus and Kassie were about to kiss again when...

Nala, the grumpy cat, sneezed in both of their faces.

Ew!" Kassie shrieked, immediately wiping her face on Arcus' shirt. "Nala, I thought we had a thing going! Ugh..." She laughed a bit and pulled away, making sure she got all of it off.

Arcus laughed, grabbing a napkin from on top of the pizza box to wipe off his own face. "That's means that she likes you!" he laughs. "She doesn't sneeze on everybody, you know."

"Gross." Sophie said. Then she was teasing them. "Awww look at you two! You already have your first child! You first hairy, annoying, grumpy, sneezing child. You practically adopted a grandparent." She started laughing.

Kassie laughed. "I guess."

Arcus was busy staring at Kassie and playing in her hair. He wasn't about to let her go again. He refused.

Crystal was squeaking out of joy, she loved seeing her baby brother so happy. And she actually liked Kassie.

Kassie sighed. "Hey. So let's get down to business. The media." She picked up her phone and looked at Twitter. She skimmed through the trending hashtags, sighing in relief. They weren't trending anymore. She sighed in relief. They were safe. For now.

"How are you guys going to handle the shitstorm that's brewing?" Crystal asked.

Sophie scoffed. "Arcus is probably going to look into Kassie's eyes and say 'together' in his weird accent."

"Damn sis, you read my mind." Arcus said with a laugh. Suddenly, his face went serious for a second. His jaw flexed as he clenched his teeth. "Um... how much do you know?" he asked Kassie softly, ashamed of his past. If she didn't know anything, he had to tell her. With Kassie he WAS a monster. Without her? Arcus looks at his hands holding hers. He is a monster.

Kassie looked up at Arcus, softly sighed. She knew everything at this point. She softly kissing his knuckles. She softly sang to him:

"The past is in the past.
And now you're running fast, trying to get away.
We're gonna be okay, hey."

Kassie interrupts his internal chaos when she kisses his hand and starts singing. He thinks for a second. He's tired of running away, but he doesn't want to put Kassie through all that publicity if she doesn't want to. But maybe it'll be a good thing if the public knows that he's protecting her. Arcus takes a deep breath and looks Kassie in her beautiful hazel eyes. "I'm tired of running away. For you, I'll face anything that they throw at me head on. But it's up to you. I don't want to hide the fact that I'm with you." he admits. The best thing he could say would be what he actually feels, and that's exactly what he did.

Sophie bursts out laughing. "I told you he'd look into her eyes! Ugh you're so cliché Arc. God! Go back into the 50s and 'woo' her who, why don't you?" She says wiggling her eyebrows at them sarcastically.

Crystal rolls her eyes. "Leave them alone! It's not Arcus fault that he so in love!" she teases, laughing even harder with Sophie.

Arcus and Kassie rolled their eyes but still laughed a bit. Then Arcus sighed. 'Come on man. Tell her!' he yelled at himself in his head.

"But I have to know that you know the truth about me... I've... I've..."

He takes a deep breath and sings softly:

"I've killed a man and all I know, is I... Am on the run and go.
I wanna hide the truth.
I wanna shelter you.
But with the beast inside,
There's nowhere we can hide.
Don't get too close.
It's dark inside.
It's where my demons hide.
It's where my demons hide."

He finishes with a sigh, wondering how she'll take it. He prepares himself for the worst. Her pushing him away. Her yelling and saying she hates him. Arcus winces at the thought as if it physically hurt him.

'Please don't run away from me... '
