Arcus' face turned red when Kassie climbed on top of him and then he laughed when she got excited about her party being such a success. He started thinking about how much of a dread the upcoming press conference was going to be when she kissed him again.

He freaked out, he didn't know what to do next, he didn't know what to do now except kiss her back. Arcus took a deep breath. "You know... I think that we're both really tired. Can we go to bed?" He asked as nicely as he could. Arcus knows that this whole thing is just so emotional... He doesn't want to rush it. Everything has been happening so quickly lately that he wants to take things slowly for a bit.

Kassie rolled off of him, smiling a bit. "Sure, yeah." She ran a hand through her hair, getting comfortable beside him. She sighed a bit, but it was a happy sigh. She had gotten his signal, but understood as to why. She was tired herself.

She softly hummed an unknown song, (it was one she made up) before softly whispering "I love you so much..." then drifting off to sleep.

Arcus felt the butterflies in his stomach going insane, even as Kassie just laid there beside him the butterflies refused to calm down. 'I swear I'll punch each and every one of you...' He thinks grumpily to the butterflies. Arcus smiled and wrapped Kassie in his arms, he couldn't have been any happier in that moment.
'But what about—'
Arcus stopped the thought dead in its tracks. He eyeballed his slightly open nightstand drawer, thinking about the ring inside. It was so close to Kassie... yet it was also so far. Arcus had been thinking earlier that he needed a way to show Kassie that he wasn't going anywhere. Ever. So... he sort of bought her a ring. But no one knew, so it's up to him to decide when to give it to her. He wondered if it was creepy that he bought the ring for her... No... It can't be... Right?

Kassie seemed to shift her position a bit, so that she cuddled closer to him. Her face seemed to scrunch up a bit every now and then, and she seemed to lightly clench her fists. She softly mumbled, "G-go away..." she twisted and turned in her sleep. Similar to how she would act if she had a nightmare.

Arcus sat up, worried. He lightly shook Kassie's shoulder to wake her up. "Babe... Wake up. You're safe." He backed up a bit just in case it was him being close that was giving her the nightmare.

Kassie seemed to jump out of her sleep, her eyes a bit watery. She began shaking, and she was breathing heavily. She pulled him closer than ever, burying herself into his chest. She wrapped her arms around him, struggling to calm down. "I-im sorry..." she managed to choked out.

Arcus relaxed a little bit when Kassie snuggled into him. "Hey.." he said softly, "It's alright... What were you dreaming about? Whatever it is, I'll protect you from it ok? You're safe." He didn't know what was running through Kassie's mind but he thought that if she knows that she's safe then maybe she'll be able to get a good night's rest.

Kassie wiped her eyes, sniffling. "I-I was back in the hospital with you a-and..." she didn't want to say the rest, explaining why she burst into tears immediately after. She hugged Arcus tight to her. She didn't want him dead. Her shaking seemed to get worse, her tears dripping onto his chest.

"Oh... I'm sorry my love..." he held her tightly and rubbed her back. "I'm fine. You're fine. We're laying down and you just threw the party of the century in under two hours. We have the rest of our life ahead of us... And it's going to be a vacation." Arcus decided that reassurance was the best way to calm her down. But he didn't want her to bottle up her emotions either. So he just gently ran his hand through her hair, trying to get her more grounded so she realizes that they're not in the hospital anymore.

Kassie calmed down soon after, her breathing being back to normal. She looked up at him, her face still wet with tears. She kissed his cheek, laying back down. She still shook a bit, but it later calmed due to him running his hand through her hair. She looked at her surroundings, nodding slowly. "I-im in Arcus' house, a-and there are guards in the front. And I'm gonna be fine. Everything is fine Kas..." She fully calmed down, relaxing again.
