"She doesn't listen to anybody! How would I know she was coming?" Sophie said, rolling her eyes.

"Well you're the only one she likes besides Arc." Crystal pointed out.

"Ugh! It's not like she can text!" Sophie snapped.

"I had to call a few favors to-"

The two were interrupted when a cat grumpily me-uf-owed and jumped down. It's as if the cat said 'shut up' and they listened. Crystal set the pizza down on the rolling table and picked up the cat. "This is Nala, she is Arcus' cat and she WAS in Italy." she said, glaring at Sophie.

Kassie looked up a bit, looking at the cat. She gave a small smile to her, giving her a small wave. "Hi Nala." Kassie said.

Sophie looked back at Crystal and rolled her eyes with some pizza in her mouth. "She has a way with people. Maybe she bought a ticket and flew a plane over here."

Kassie laughed. "If she did, she's a really smart little thing. I applaud her."

Crystal shrugged. "Someone brought Nala here. We just don't know who... yet."

The cat in question jumped up on Arcus' bed and meowed. After not getting a response, she grumbled and laid down in front of his face. Then me-uf-owed at him again. She sadly mewed and curled up in a ball on his chest, leaving room for Kassie to lay down on him as well.

Crystal gasped in surprise. "Nala doesn't like ANYBODY near Arcus when she's around. Watch."

Crystal acted like she was going to give him a hug and Nala jumped up and almost scratched her.

Kassie laughed. "I'd say she was a loyal pet to her owner. She's protecting him, I guess."

Nala turned around a few times, sneezed at Kassie, and then fell asleep in the same position she was in before.

Kassie cringed, immediately using the hospital bed sheets to wipe her face. "Alrighty then..." she mumbled.

Crystal shrugged and grabbed a piece of pizza. "Eat up. Next time we're getting a salad. We're all going to get fat if we keep eating like this." She laughed, getting out more madeleines from her purse and setting them on the table next to the pizzas.

"WHAT IS IT WITH YOUR FAMILY AND MADELEINES?!" Sophie exclaimed as she ate one.

"That's a really good question. You must live off these." Kassie laughed.

Crystal laughs. "If you are what you eat then I must be at least 50% madeleine."

"It would make sense. You guys are always eating them." Sophie says while she takes a bite. "They're like crack to you!" She says with a full mouth. She swallowed, finishing it and looking happy. "That's the only type of crack that's good, anyway."

Everyone laughed and ate. Crystal looked over to Kassie and frowned, realizing she wasn't eating. Crystal shook her head and looked at Kassie. "Eat. As I said before if you wish to stay at his side then I suggest you take care of yourself as well." She tore a slice of pizza, handing it to Kassie.

Kassie lied down beside Arcus, giving a small smile to Crystal and eating her pizza. Then she softly reached a hand out to Nala. "I won't hurt you..." she cooed. She softly stroked her fur, half smiling. If Arcus didn't like her after this, she was glad his feline did.

Nala grumbled in her sleep and stretched, her head tucked in Arcus' neck.

Sophie went on her phone and checked the news websites. "Shit. We're front and fucking center on two pages." She sighs. "America and its bloody freedom"
