Sophie faints, Crystal screams.
But before Arcus opens his eyes, the nurses rush in and the doctor yells, "Everybody out! Now!" The guards rush in confused, but they listen to the doctor and escort everybody out. Everybody except Nala, she's underneath Arcus' hospital bed.
Kassie was pushed off of him, pulled out of the room along with Crystal and Sophie. She burst into tears all over again, shaking. She couldn't take it anymore. She started screaming. She felt alone, and angry, and sad. This is all of her fault. She continued screaming until a nurse came and put her in a wheelchair. They wheeled her to a room while she continued to scream and cry. They strapped her to the bed as she struggled to get free. She screamed until the doctors gave her a shot, putting her to sleep. She immediately stopped screaming and collapsed into the bed, still shaking.
From behind the door they hear the commotion.
"Crash cart. He's flatlining!"
"Give me 150 amps"
"Charging... Clear."
"V fib."
"Another hundred amps!"
"Charging... Clear."
"Still no pulse."
"Go to 500 amps."
"That could kill him!"
"JUST DO IT!"
"Charging... Clear."
There was a long pause and the doctor sighed. "Time of death. 2:18pm"
"What the-? Where the hell did this cat come from?!"
"It's the family's."
"Get it out of he-"
There was another pause.
"We got a pulse! Heart rate rising... Oxygen levels back to normal."
They sighed in relief.
"GAH! NALA WHAT THE HELL?! STOP BITING MY NO-" Nala sneezed "...gross."
Crystal and Sophie rush into the room when they hear Arcus' voice. No one speaks, Arcus just hugs them as they sob.
A few minutes later Sophie looks around for Kassie. "Where's Kassie?"
Arcus looks confused. "Kassie? How do you guys know her? She wouldn't be here... she hates me." He sighs. "I had a dream that she was laying here next to me as all of you laughed about my puns. And Crixus." He laughs weakly.
Crystal laughs with tears in her eyes. "That wasn't a dream."
Sophie ignored Arcus as tears formed in his eyes. She got up. "I'm going to look for her." She walked out and asked the nurse where she went. The nurse sighed and told Sophie that she had to be sedated.
"What?! She was grieving just like us!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?! WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE?!" The nurse winced and pointed to the room right next to Arcus'. She stormed into the room and saw Kassie strapped down and shaking
"Shit. Arcus is going to be pissed..." she grabbed a chair and sat next to Kassie, waiting for her to get up.
Kassie looked extremely pale. She was shaking and shifting in her sleep until she woke up a few seconds later, breathing heavily. "A-arcus?" She struggled to move, but she was too weak to even unstrap herself. She looked around, looking for someone to help. "S-sophie?" She said weakly. Her vision was blurry, and her head was pounding.
"Dude. They bootyjuiced you." she giggled. "He's awake. And alive." She unstrapped Kassie. "Don't move too quickly. You need to eat something."
"H-he's alive?" Kassie hopped up, only to be hit with a pounding head and dizziness. She groaned and sat back down.
