Don't worry, there are no spoilers. I'll delete all comments that spoil anything. Also, since this isn't an actual chapter, I'll try to get the next chapter up either today or tomorrow. I've been super lazy lately and I'm sorry but I'm exhausted. XD I have band practice on Tuesdays, chess on Wednesdays, and we're expected to practice every day in between. I feel tired all the time and my chess is suffering because of it.
Anyway, I nearly cried reading this:
I don't know why this struck me so hard. Levi isn't even my favorite character; Armin, Erwin, and Hanji are my top favorites.
When I was first introduced to Levi in AoT, I thought he was a jerk and I immediately disliked him. I was confused about why my friends liked him, or what the big hype was about him.
I thought to myself, "They probably only like him because he's hot and short and it's funny."
(which is partially true for some people lmao)
Then I saw ACWNR and it changed my perspective completely.
And after rewatching AoT, I began picking up signs that Levi really isn't a stone-cold warrior-guy. They're subtle, but still.
Before I continue, if you don't like Levi, that's okay. Not everybody does. :3
This just really tugged at my heartstrings, though. I mean, Levi acts like he hates Hanji with a fiery passion sometimes. But he doesn't. If he absolutely HATED her, he wouldn't go to her for comfort, because seeing Levi cry is like finding a herd of wild unicorns without using acid.
IT. NEVER. HAPPENS.
Just imagining it gives me teary eyes. Because he has this reputation as a big, buff, stone-hearted soldier, and he cries over the loss of soldiers.
He probably cares more than most of the scouts. And Hanji is the only one who knows this.
I like Levi as a character because he's very surprising, to say the least. Lol.
