Everyone was happy to participate the banquet. While the villagers were eating food served on the table, Natsu was gobbling down flames. While Gray was drinking water from a bowl, blossom walked towards him with a serious look. "What is it?" asked the Ice Make mage, raising an eyebrow.
"Don't you have another thing to do, d'aho?" asked the Exceed.
"Huh?" Gray blinked confusedly. "What do you mean?"
"You're an idiot, d'aho." stated blossom .
"What was that?!" yelled Gray angrily.
"Remember your Iced Shell, d'aho? Have you forgotten that you almost devastated blue with that move, d'aho?" asked blossom .
Gray's eyes widened. He remembered that when he performed Iced Shell, he noticed tears were brimming in blue eyes but she hid them well. He was guilty. More guilty than when he 'killed' his master. "Blue..." he trailed off. He did not mean to make her upset.
"I suggest you go and check up on her, d'aho." said blossom before pointing at an inn. "We're staying in there, so go."
Gray nodded at him and stood up. With each step he took, the guilt was flowing inside of him like a river. Gripping the doorknob, he took a deep breath to calm himself down and opened the door before closing it behind him. "Blue?" he called.
"Hai?" she responded from behind a folding screen. But the lights were bright enough to reveal her silhouette. Her hair was untied, which reached until her butt. Her body was nicely toned and it gave her a nice shape, although she had medium-sized breasts. Gray felt his face becoming hot with each second he took to stare. Blue put on a nightgown and came out from the screen. Now, the Ice Make mage was beginning to burn up. "Is there anything you need?" she asked, sitting on her bed.
He shook his head, snapping back into reality. "W-Well, y-yes." he stammered as he sat next to her.
Blue noticed something on his face and chest. She looked at him with concern. "Looks like you'll be left with a scar." she pointed out.
"Huh?" he responded before giving her an assuring smile. "It's doesn't really matter."
"But it's on your face..." she trailed off. "Let me help." As soon as she stood up, Gray grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. She gave out a soft squeak and blushed with embarrassment when she found herself sitting on his lap. He wrapped his arms securely around her to prevent her from moving.
"It's alright." he assured with a smirk. He was happy to touch the girl he loved, hoping that Natsu would come in and get jealous. He shifted her on his lap to make the embarrassed girl look up at him as he stared into her golden blue orbs. "It doesn't really matter where I'm scarred. As long as it's on the surface."
His smile suddenly dropped. He pulled her into a hug and buried his face in the crook of her neck. Her hands were on his bare chest, as if to prevent their chests to come in contact. "G-Gray...!" gasped the confused girl.
"I'm sorry." he whispered.
"For what?" she asked, glancing at him.
"For making you worry when I made Iced Shell." he replied guiltily. "I noticed that you nearly cried when I was prepared to die-"
"Stop." she said, cutting him off.
"What?" he responded. He broke the hug and looked at her with confusion. She was slightly trembling in his arms. Her eyes were shadowed by her bangs. "Blue?" he called.
"Please." she begged. Her voice was beginning to crack. "I don't want another person precious to me disappear from my life again..."
Gray's eyes widened at this. He had a small smile on his face and pulled her into a hug, rubbing her head comfortingly. "I'm sorry, blue ." he cooed, giving her pecks on her head, forehead and temples lovingly, whispering comforting words.
