Ch.14

Inside Makarov's room, blue and blossom sat across the guild master. "Are you sure about this, blue, blossom?" he asked. He was confident that she could become a Double S-Class mage with blossom. But according to the information, they were not allowed to return to the guild either for a rest or when the guild was in trouble. So he was afraid that they would be homesick or worry about the guild during their mission. However, their answers were not what he expected.

"I am sure, Master." assured blue with a smile. "Our guild is not weak, so I know that the guild is safe in your hands."

"Don't worry about us, Master, d'aho." said blossom with a smirk. "During the ten years, we'll return as Double S-Class mage and Double S-Class Exceed, d'aho."

The guild master's eyes widened at this. He was surprise at their determination, but smiled. "Alright, I'll inform the Council about this." he said. "When would you like to start?"

"Tomorrow." she replied. "The earlier we go, the earlier we can return."

"Very well, then. For now, go and have a rest. Tomorrow morning, you will leave the guild to begin your mission."

"Thank you, Master."

blue and blossom stood up and bowed to the master before they took their leave. They joined Natsu and his team at a table. "So what did Master wanted to speak to you about?" asked Erza while eating a cake.

"He was making sure that we are absolute about becoming a Double S-Class mage." replied blue, much to the team's surprise.

Lucy's eyes sparkled with admiration. To be a Double S-Class mage, it was definitely not an easy task so to find one was like looking for a needle in a haystack. She gently grabbed both blue hands, making her look at the blonde girl. "Wow, that's amazing, blue!" she praised. "Who would have thought Fairy Tail is going to have a Double S-Class mage?"

"I agree." said Erza with a smile as she gave a curt nod. "After all, you are the strongest mage in Fairy Tail."

"When are you leaving?" asked a smiling Gray, proud at the fact that his crush was going to become stronger.

"Tomorrow." she replied. Suddenly, a loud bang interrupted them. With a dark look, Natsu got up from his seat silently, and left the guild. Happy watched his disappearing figure with a sad look. blue immediately stood up and ran after the pink haired boy.

"Why is Natsu like that?" wondered Lucy with confusion. "Shouldn't he be happy for her?"

"Being a Double S-Class mage is actually a tough decision, d'aho." said blossom solemnly. "We are not allowed to come back to the guild during our mission, not matter what, d'aho. I believe Natsu must've secretly read the condition and was upset the fact that blue and I aren't coming home until we finish ten difficult tasks within a decade, d'aho."

For some reason, even Gray had a sad look when he heard blossom explanation. "So, Natsu doesn't want to let blue go?" asked Lucy. "Are they close?"

"Well, you could say that, d'aho." said the Exceed as she stared at the wooden door. "It happened after Happy joined the guild, d'aho. About six years ago, d'aho..."

~Flashback: 6 years ago~

A little pink haired boy laid on the ground, injured and tired. A little blue Exceed was looking for help. He was hoping for at least someone to come by. But seeing there was no one, he could not help but tear up. "Natsu, wake up." he begged as he nudged to young boy.

"Oi, blue, d'aho!" yelled a voice from far as it starts to get closer to them. "Come over here, d'aho! Someone is injured, d'aho!"

"W-Wait up, b-blossom!" called a timid voice. The blue Exceed looks up to see a cute little girl with long brown  hair and sparkling golden blue eyes. Floating next to her was a female  light brown  exceed with a white dress. The girl quietly gasped when her eyes landed on the boy. "W-What happened t-to h-him?" she asked timidly.
