With Mystogan in the lead, they arrived in front of an abandoned mine where Tom had remembered it was the treasure's location. Much to blue confusion, the entrance was blocked and sealed with metal planks. "This mine was used to torture the citizens of Edolas hundred years ago." explained Mystogan. "Pirates would normally bring their prisoners inside here and torture them before abandoning them inside."
"Captain Jones was the last pirate to occupy this place." continued the robot. "He forced me to lock him up inside the mine so that no one would enter."
'Why do I feel this weird trail of Magic coming from the inside?' she thought, her eyes slanting at the entrance with suspicion.
Blossom went closer to the blocked entrance and studied the planks. "These aren't normal metal planks." She muttered, noticing the odd pattern that reminded him of inside Tom's memory chip slot. That was when he realized something. "Hey, Tom." She turned around to look at him. "Since you're the one who sealed this place, why don't you open it?"
Tom froze and looked away with embarrassment. "You see..." he trailed off, laughing sheepishly. "My memory chip is missing, so I... kinda forgot..."
"Maybe I can do it." said blue as she stood in front of the entrance.
"Oh yeah!" said Blossom with a grin. "I forgot you are an Elemental Dragon Slayer, d'aho!"
"But I thought you couldn't control metal?" questioned Mystogan.
"I know." she admitted. "But I will try."
The rest stepped back. blue took a deep breath and closed her eyes. 'If you open up your mind, you will see that all the earth elements are one.' she remembered ryuu's advice, who had a strong but warm tone that resembled a wise old man's. 'Four parts of the same whole. Even metal is just a part of earth that has been purified and refined.'
She opened her eyes and slammed the back of her hands in a metal plank, feeling a faint vibration. She repeated the process until her hand motions were in sync with the metal particles. She smirked at this and took a deep breath. She retracted her hands, stomping a foot on the ground and slammed the back of her hands on the plank.
After a few minutes, blue slammed the plank for the last time until both the metal and the door had a dent. Mystogan and Blossom eyes widened with surprise while Tom stared with awe. "Metal Dragon's Fist." she said. blue bended her arms and used her elbows to make the dent deeper until there was a small gap. Afterwards, she clawed the gap open and the entrance was unblocked.
"I am so glad to be found by you people~" sang Tom with gratefulness before they continued their journey.
Starting from the entrance, the mine was filled with skeletons. Most of them had horrible stenches due to the fact that they were trapped inside a dark mine. blue cringed at the skeletons she saw around them. Some had their necks hung on rusted chains. Some had their limbs tangled up, proving that they were mutilated. Some were tied up to the wooden posts and a few bones from the rib cages were missing. "Why would they do such things to innocent people?" she wondered out loud.
"I thought my village was horrible, but this is too gruesome." commented Kin.
Tom looked at the skeletons with fear and walked close to blue from behind. "blue..." he trailed off. "I don't know about you, but I'm starting to see my life... passing in front of my eyes. At least I think it's my life... WAS I EVEN DANCING WITH AN ANDROID NAMED AMY?!"
blue shushed him. "We're not going to die like how these people did." she assured. "Once we found your memory chip, we're getting out of here as soon as possible before anyone else find out about this place. Okay?" Tom nodded at her and they continued to follow Blossom and Mystogan. "Blossom, could you tell me more about Captain Jones? I'm sure you have heard of him."
