"Lily!! You're back!!" Kim hugs me until I nearly suffocate.
"Marks not here right now, but he will be, soon. I can't believe you came here all by yourself!!" She exclaims.
What I love about Marks mom is how she's very positive and welcoming.
I start unpacking. I remembered to bring my notebook filled with lyric ideas, and I have a few that sound pretty good, to me at least. Most of the free time I had, I used it for songwriting just in case. I hear the door open, and Mark walks in.
"Lily!! You're early.." He says.
"I am? But you said to be here on Thurs-"
"I know, I meant like, it's 7:00 am. You're not tired?" He asks.
When did he get so concerned?
"Nope. I'm use it to it. From school of course."
"Oh yeah, haha.. Okay, well, there's a chance, that one of your poems/songs whatever might be used for our comeback," Mark announces.
"What?? Already? But you guys just debuted!!" I reply, surprised.
"I know, but, our comebacks in January, maybe December. And Nct U's comeback is next month."
"Wow, then you should get all the rest you can get right now.."
Mark's mom nods.
"I heard many rumours about SM entertainment, and if they don't give my boy a break, then I will complain," she crosses her arms.
"You've debuted 3 times."
"Mom, please, I don't want them to sue you.."
"They won't! I'm a lawyer, remember?" She winks. I laugh.
"Well, when do we have to go to SM?" I ask him.
"In an hour. We have lots of time."
"Right.. I should probably take a shower then." I run to get clean clothes.
*1 hour later, in the building*
"You know, I find it funny how they all greet me like I'm meeting them for the first time again every time I come back," I smile.
"Yeah, it's because we missed you. We always do, it's fun to have company. Especially with just one extra person. I don't want to babysit anymore than 7 people," he laughs.
"Most of them are only a year younger Mark." I remind him, in case he's forgetting.
"I know, but still. It's funny."
When I enter their practice/meeting room, they all cheer. For the third time.
"LILY!! DONGSAENG!!" Jeno high fives me, along with Haechan.
"Hi again!" Chenle waves.
Jaemin scratches his head and looks the other way. I wonder if he remembers the way he said goodbye last time, like I do.
"Okay, I guess it's time for another meeting. Oh, and Lily, Lyns here." Mark points to the room beside us. I leave and I open the door.
"Hi!! Missed you! Take a seat!!" I sit in one of the chairs.
"Missed you too unni~"
she starts to giggle.
"I like being called that, because I always wanted to be older than my sister. Anyways, I believe you have something to show me?"
"Oh, yeah, I have a few poems I worked on at home, on the weekends when I didn't have much to do. Do you like it?" I open the notebook so she can read some.
"You know, Lily, you always impress me with the talent you have. You're the youngest one to work for us." She takes out a stack of paper.
"Now, I actually want you to do something different today. I have a bunch of lyrics that some of the staff wrote themselves, so I want you to read it over, and tell me your thoughts. I know it's weird to have a 15 year old revise work, but I'm sure you can give great suggestions. I trust you," she smiles.
At least I can be with Lyn for my job. She's really sweet.
