"Is This What Love Is?" Nct dream - Jaemin fanfic

Chapter 21

Authors note:

Hey y'all, this is just a short note saying that from now on I'm going to mention things that people in the novel do/say, even if the person who's p.o.v it is in doesn't see it (E.G. Lily.) Obviously I'm going to have future chapters be in Jeno's/Jaemin's POV and I might even do a third person POV. Just saying this so it makes sense, in case you read something that happens after the narrator leaves a scene. Also, if the language switches up I'll write the language the character is speaking in, in brackets. E.g. Ray [In korean:] "Okay"..

"Why don't you just use your phone to type the phrases out? You don't want to hold your notebook all day."

"I'll put it in my bag. If i use my phone the whole time my battery will die." Ray places her language notebook and pen inside.

"The guys are gonna love that you brought a notebook. It's cute," I laugh.

"It's a mess in the inside. There's scribbles and everything."

"So are you gonna pull it out whenever someone says something you don't understand??"

"No? That's extra."

Ray is so cute sometimes it kills me.

"Once Lucas sees this, it's going to be flirt central."

At this point of our trip, or, her trip I should say, Ray is obsessed with Lucas. She keeps mentioning him, and I had to break it to her. She talks about him so much, it was obvious that she had a crush on him. Now I have to make sure nothing happens between them because I know Lucas is not serious about her. He's nice but, Ray's going to miss him like crazy when she leaves. So it's better for them to not get too close.

"Don't get attached girl, it hurts."

"Nah, I'm not like that."

"Good." I say and she laughs.

"It's ok Lily, you got like 3 weeks. You can do this." She helps me pick out an outfit.

"Do what?"

"Survive the attention of all the cute boys that don't exist in Vancouver."

"Or I could just have a good time."

"I don't think we've ever been shopping all together," Mark says when we arrive downtown in Seoul.

Even though all of Dream and Lucas were with us, we were actually going to split once we started to shop. I would stay with Ray the whole time. We went to buy clothes for the most part, and cute plushies/ accessories.

"These notebooks are so cute, I want to buy one for school, but they remind me of school and that makes me depressed." Ray says. I laugh.

"They are really cute. The pens and pencils are nice too. I might get some myself."

At one point I went into a clothing store for men and Ray looked at me confused.

"Why are we here?"

"Shhh..." I tell her, "I don't want to bring attention to us. I'm buying Mark a present for his birthday."

"Oh yeah!!" She whispers. "When is it?"

"August 2nd."

"What are you getting him?"

"I always get him clothes, but like, Maybe I'll get a hat this time."
