Bechner just couldn't believe everything he witnessed in such short amount of time.

"How did you become this Tusuer? How? This was no part of the plan. What have you done?"

Tusuer spread his wings and moved fast in front of him. The Angels holding Bechner strongly by the arms to keeping form moving, stepped back and left them one in front of the other.

"How could I have done what?" Tusuer yelled at Bechner's face. "How could I have done what?. I haven't done anything. If they are nothing, how can I have done anything to nothing?. They are beasts that were given the gift of thinking. They are wild animals from the forest, from the jungle, from the desert that scare easily. They will never learn. The best thing they to do is make them act and behave as they should. Teach them obedience or get eliminated and maybe when the are born again this will be imprinted in them. Obey and act upon the rules and laws we have given them. We are willing to wait for generations until they understand. We have been doing our work with favorable results. Do you remember when we arrived? All of this was nothing but crap. Look at them now. Organized, working and doing what they must do. I call this progress!"

"They are doing as you want them to" Bechner challenged him.

"And wasn't that what we were supposed to do?" Tusuer answer with sarcasm.

"This is wrong. You don't have their respect, they don't want you here, everyone is afraid of you. Sooner or later they will rebel against you, it's in their nature. Human can only take up until a point but at any given moment they will turn against you and they will fight you until they prevail or die" he was warning him and then he implored "you still have time, go back to the Celestial, tell them what you have done, step down, the punishment will be minimal, ask for redemption and you shall have it. Take your Angels with you and send replacements. You have to admit defeat. You've lost control of the whole situation. This is not what we came to do"

Tusuer turned around and started walking slowly to the other end of the room. When he reached the wall he turned around and said:

"We will not do such thing" he was smiling, and the rest of the Angels were doing the same. The plan had changed, Bechner could perceive it "we have decided to stay here and if you must know, soon the rest of my army will arrive. Once a messenger goes to the Celestial and informs Meckham of my decision. You know how Meckham responds to my most simple desire. He will come and bring everyone loyal to me with him. It has been decided by all. We will stay and we will procreate with the females our own children. I admit, they will not be us but we have already seen more than one with certain aptitudes and advantages over the other children. We will keep experimenting with the women, with the ones that fit the profile to procreate the best results until we find the ideal candidate among them" he smiled again.

The rest just laughed out hard, as if everything said was somewhat amusing to them.

"So the question here really is, how can we get these humans better than what they are? How can we make them follow our rules? Learn to be like us? There is your answer!. Our children!. And not until our children populate this world we won't have the results we expect" Coldness in every word. Everything had already been planned. The process had already begun.

"And if at the Celestial disagree, we will respond with war. We are already training our children in the arts of war. Fire, cold, metals, weaponry, combat, everything we know and most important, how to dominate these beasts called humans. Oh yes, we want to keep them around, somebody has to work. Somebody has to feed us. Those animals know perfectly well how to do that, work, work and in exchange they get the biggest reward of them all; their own life expectancy" he said triumphal at the end of his speech.

"You won't be able to make it. There's plenty of us here that do not think like you. We don't want what you want. We will not follow you and we will fight you and take you to the Celestial. You and your army or whoever is left" Bechner said firmly believing his own words.

Tusuer walked towards a big curtain covering a window. He pulled it down. Outside Bechner could see a lot of his brothers chained. Some of them had one wing, others none. Some were crying and yelling in pain. They had been tortured. Hurting and wounded.

"Are you talking about those outside? They are the ones opposing me just like you are right now. We have been going to all the villages and asking them to join our plan, some agree, others oppose, and some uselessly fight us. What can I tell you? I cannot allow rebellion acts against me from our own kind. Humans have to learn we treat everybody equally, we are fair. They get the same punishment, even if they die. I weep for the ones we have lost" he smiled "what can I say? This is how it is, and Bechner, this is the moment, decision time; will you join us?"

Bechner measured carefully the consequences his next words would bring. But being the way he was, he couldn't allow himself not saying them:

"Never!". He wasn't being held by other Angels, he spread his wings and flew straight to the big window on the wall towards the Angels being punished by Tusuer.

Before he could feel he had made it instead he felt two daggers inserting his back, he almost came down and coming down was not something that worried him but the pain in his back and the blood coming out.

One of his wings was damaged but could still move it. He noticed that strangely nobody was flying behind him. He would never reach the Celestial in those conditions. He had to fly to Lacjner and Dregnar and give them the terrible news.

They would take charge. This would be resolved soon enough. They would heal him. He knew an Angel could not heal himself he needed another Angel's help and assistance. But he knew the damage to one of his wings was pretty severe. It will probably take a long time to heal or probably was a permanent damage.

He knew Angels who had last one or both wings at theCelestial during the war and there was nothing that could be done for them. They were treated with respect and always looked after; sometimes they weretreated even better than the rest. But there was not a single of them whodidn't actually feel sorry for them. He hoped this was not the case.hJT
