When Lacjner went in the guards lowered their weapons as they recognized him.
"Brother" the guard on the right said "Yorkar welcomes you" and he extended his arm showing him the place.
He saw towards what the Angel was showing him and he was surprised.
It was a spectacle of Angels fully armed showing their weapons on their bodies, as if the place where the hid their weapons was full and it was necessary to carry more weapons.
Angels flying from one side to another filling up the air. At the bottom, in the central area as if in the coliseum, there were humans, lots of them in what it looked to be training and at the same time, Angels being trained by humans. Men, women and Angels on hand to hand combat. Weapons similar to Angel weapons but smaller in size, human hands size. That included swords.
Some of men's guns and rifles were made to Angel's hand size so an Angel could used them as well. Shields, swords, bows, arrows, a whole armory for an army of men, women and Angels.
It reminded Lacjner of that time, a long time ago when Angels and humans fought together, back to back, against Tusuer's army.
He was walking guided by the Angel escorting him. Every once in a while he would look at this Angel with question mark eyes but the Angel just smiled in response.
Definitely another war is coming, he thought. What did Garktold know that the union between human race and Angels was required?. What was about to happen?
Baslehck, the guard at his side said:
"This all started ten years ago. Remember how this place looked more like the Celestial. See? There? – he asked aiming with his finger – where those are practicing with blue fire? Right in the middle of the field. We used to have a great rock. We used to sit there and rest, and think, and meditate in silence. Garktold allowed humans in and with them their machines and technology. They practically remodeled the place. If you ask me, I like the way it looks now more than before"
"But what about all those humans? Why? Who are they? They seem to be from other cultures, other tribes. How can they speak our language? Why do they speak it so naturally?" Lacjner was perplexed.
"Brother, too many questions at once. All in good time. Garktold will explain everything to you. Be ready for a surprise though" and Baslehck laughed out loud "I'd say"
He was ready to respond to Baslehck but Garktold showed up.
Weapons on the sides, sword exposed. Holsters on his legs.
Another sword to his back next to his shield. Ready for battle.
Garktold was different from a lot of them, his eyes were slightly larger than the rest to the sides of his face. He was part of the initial creation and most of them had that shape of eyes. Like light gray and blue almond shaped eyes. His white skin and his perfect body in constant training made him different than the rest. And even if they were all created with the same height he looked taller.
A great big smiled appeared on his face as he retracted his wings. He looked at Lacjner and then to Baslehck. He just smiled and went back to his post at the entrance.
"Brother" he said and hugged him. A human gesture used only to express their own feelings. Just like they used to do with humans in another time. Lacjner smiled to the feeling and hugged him back. After a few seconds Garktold took him by the shoulders and said:
"I have so many things to tell you. But we haven't enough time so I will respond to your questions that by your look I can tell you have plenty"
"Who are all of these humans?" Garktold just like Baslehck laughed out loud and when he saw Lacjner was not laughing he stopped.
