You began pacing up and down the front porch for several more minutes until suddenly, you get a call. You look at the caller ID, it was Robert. You breathe a sigh of relief.

"Robert! Why the hell haven't you called?" You ask.
"Ma'am I'm not Robert." The deep, male voice responded.
Your eyes widened, "wh-who is this?"
"My name is Dr. (random doctor's name) from (Random hospital name) and I've been asked by Robert to call you." The doctor stated.
"He's in the hospital?" You asked. "What happened?"

Your mom stood up from her seat as soon as she heard the word hospital.

"He's been involved in a car accident and he's currently under evaluation." The doctor explained. "But he seems to be in stable condition."
You breathe a sigh of relief again but you were still scared. "Well, we're on our way right now. Thank you Doctor."

You hang up your phone and you immediately head inside.

"What do you mean he's in the hospital?" Your mom asked. "What happened?"
"He got into a car accident." You answer.
"What hospital is he at?" Your mom asked.
"(Random Hospital name)" You respond.
"That's 20 minutes away from here!" Your mom stated. "What was he doing all the way down here?"
"I'm not worried about that right now, I just need to go and see him." You respond.

As you and your mom grabbed your jacket as you both were about to head out when suddenly, your dad stopped you.

"Where the hell are you two going now?" Your Dad asked.
"To see a friend up in the hospital." You responded.
"What friend, huh?" Your Dad asked. "Is it that boy again?"

You and your mother both ignored him as you went outside, into the car and pulled out of the driveway before he could even stop you.
---
As soon as you pulled up to the hospital, you went straight into the emergency room area and began looking around for Robert.

After a minute or two of searching, you found him lying on the bed, with a broken leg and a bandage on the side of his forehead. But he was alive and awake.

"Hey (Y/N)" Robert said.

Without any hesitation, you went over and hugged him tightly, letting out the tears you've been holding back since you first found out he was in the hospital.

"What the hell happened?" You asked.
"I don't even remember much." Robert stated. "I was driving and I lost control of my car and I just blacked out from there."
"You blacked out?" You asked.
"Yeah, and then I remember waking up in the ambulance and the paramedics kept putting pressure on the spots I was bleeding." Robert explained.
"Robert, you weren't speeding or anything, were you?" Your mom asked.
Robert sighed, "I kinda was... Not too much though."
"Why were you speeding?" You asked.
"Because I wanted to see you as soon as possible." Robert explained.
"What?" You asked.
"After I saw that text from you, I knew I wanted to try and clear things up with your Dad, and I didn't have that much time to do that." Robert explained.
"Robert, you didn't have to do that." You said.
"But I wanted to." Robert said. "I didn't want our relationship to end just because of your Dad. I care about you too much to have or relationship end."

You smirked a smile and almost got emotional again. You never knew that Robert cared about you so much. You almost felt like you were to blame for the accident. But you didn't mention that. Instead, you brought up your dad.

"My Dad's just very strict." You explained. "We had to break some rules just to go and see you."
"I'm sorry about that..." Robert said.
"I honestly don't care what he has to say at this point." You said.
"Does he not like me or something?" Robert asked. "Even though we've never met?"
"No, he just doesn't like the fact that I'm in a relationship with somebody he's never met before." I explained.
"Well, hopefully, if we can meet, he'll change his mind." Robert suggested.
"It's gonna take a lot." You told him.
"I'm sure it'll work out." Robert said.
"Are you sure?" You asked.
"Totally." Robert responded.

Your mother came back into the room, not even realizing she left the room to begin with, her phone in her hand.

"Robert, your mother wants to talk to you." Your mom said.

Robert slowly sat up, moaning in pain, but was fully able to sit up.

"This should be interesting." Robert said taking the phone.

As he was talking, you and your mom left the room so that he could talk to his mom alone.

"Do you think maybe he could meet Dad?" You asked.
"I'm not sure." Your mom shrugged.
"Maybe he could stay overnight, if he doesn't sleep overnight here?" You asked.
"I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens." Your mom said.

You then came back inside the room as Robert was done talking to his mom.

"I'm guessing she's mad?" You asked.
"She's more relieved, but the anger will come soon." Robert explained. "I had to keep that car alive another few days before we had to take it in before we moved."
"What's she gonna do about you going back home?" You asked.
"I dunno..." Robert shrugged.
"Well, you can stay with us if you would like." Your mom suggested.
"If that's alright, thank you." Robert nodded.

The doctor then came in and did an evaluation of Robert. The doctor then stated that he could be released within the next hour or two but that he would be in a lot of pain for a few days.

"Well, we can take care of you." Your mom told Robert.
Robert laughed, "Thanks, guys"

After the next hour, you three got the okay to leave and you helped Robert to the car and you drove back home.

The only thing that worried you now was what your Dad would think of Robert.
