IDK These Feelings (A RobertIDK x Reader)

Forty-Three

You woke up the next day around 7:30 in the morning, having gotten around 12 hours of sleep. You then remembered the argument you had with your dad the night before over going over to the university near where Robert lived. You weren't as upset about it anymore for some reason, because after thinking about it further, in a way, he was actually right.

If something were to happen between you and Robert that would probably cause a breakup, you would have nowhere to go. Even though you don't see that happening at any point in the future, it still bummed you out to think about it.

But you were bummed even more now because you had to tell Robert about it.

You looked over at your phone, which was filled with text messages from Robert. They were all the same text messages explaining how much he missed you. You smirked a smile, you missed him too.

You finally decided to text Robert the news

Y: I talked to my dad yesterday about possibly going to the university near your house, he didn't like the idea of it.
R: I kinda figured :/
Y: I'm sorry :'(
R: Don't be sorry, we'll figure something out :)
Y: U sure?
R: Totally :D

You smiled. You were so thankful Robert was such an understanding person, and not one of those people who don't accept a no for an answer.

Your phone buzzed again as you got another text from him.

R: Wanna Skype? I miss seeing your face
Y: Sure

You quickly went and brushed your hair out before deciding to call Robert. Your hair was the worst in the morning.

Finally, you went onto the app on your phone and gave him a call, he immediately answered.

"Hey!" Robert smiled.
"Hi!" You responded.
"How have you been?" Robert asked.
"Jet lagged." You responded.

Robert laughed and you smiled.

Just then, you became confused.

"Wait a minute, it's like 4:30 in the morning where you're at." You realized.
"Yeah, I stayed up all night making a video." Robert responded.
"Go to sleep you doof!" You exclaimed.
"No!" Robert whined jokingly.
"Well then looks like we'll just be silently looking at one another until you get bored and fall asleep." You insisted.
"Who said I wanted to talk anyways?" Robert asked.

You became surprised. Did he actually only call just to stare at you? It was a bit awkward and kind of creepy, but for some reason, you took that as a compliment.

You two then decided to play the silent game. Little did Robert know that you put yourself on mute and went and listened to music while Robert also stayed silent, but was not on mute.

"Holy shit, you're good at that game." Robert stated.
You then unmuted yourself and smiled. "Ha!" You exclaimed.
"You cheated!" Robert exclaimed.
"Not really, I still stayed silent." You stated. "There was just music playing in the background."
"You could've played music unmuted and I could've easily lost." Robert claimed.
"Well, I didn't want to make you cringe or anything because it was your own music." You said.
"How in the hell would that make me cringe?" Robert asked.
"I dunno." You shrugged. "Some people who make music cringe at their voice."
"(Y/N), you should know I don't do that." Robert said.

The two of you were silent for a moment before you noticed Robert beginning to yawn.

"You getting tired there?" You asked.
"No, what makes you think that?" Robert asked.
"You're beginning to yawn." You said.
Robert groaned,  "fine mom, I'll go to sleep."
You smirked a smile, "Sleep tight."
"Okay, love you"
"Love you too."

The two of you hung up. You looked at the time, it was about 8:30. The two of you were talking for about an hour.

You finally decided to make your way out of the room and make your way downstairs, where you saw your mom and dad having a discussion. They stopped talking as soon as they saw you.

"What's going on?" You asked.
"We were having a discussion about last night." Dad said.
"Okay..." you said.
"And, after looking through a few things, we realized that we really don't have enough money to pay for you to live on campus." Mom explained.

You stood there with an annoyed look on your face. You knew that already.

"But..." Mom continued.

Your eyes widened. Was there seriously a positive part to this too?

"But... since we understand how much you really care about your relationship with Robert, we have decided to pitch in money to allow you to visit Robert during your winter and spring breaks when you go off to college." Mom explained.

You smiled. It wasn't what you expected, and winter break was 8 months away, but winter break lasted a month. Were they seriously going to let you visit Robert for a month? If so, you definitely considered that a dream come true.

"Thank you." You said to them.
"But just realize, this money is coming out of your spending money. For Christmas and for your birthday." Dad said.
"I understand." You nodded. "Thank you so much!"

With that in mind, you hugged both of your parents and decided to celebrate by hanging out with your friend, who has been dying to see you since you got back home.
