Twenty-Four

The next day, you woke up from a text from Robert.

R: Just said goodbye to the house! Now I have to stay at a hotel until tomorrow.
Y: You gonna miss it?
R: Yeah, definitely. But not as much as I'll miss you.
Y: I still can't believe you're leaving...
R: Don't be upset, we'll still be able to talk to one another.
Y: But I probably won't see you again...
R: Don't say that.
Y: That...
R: :P

You decided to end your conversation with him for a little bit, because you had some other things to do with your family. They didn't know about your relationship with Robert, only your parents. But you weren't going to say anything until after you discussed with Robert about possibly telling the fans.

As you were over your aunts house, you could hear your 13 year old cousin watching a video in the other room. It sounded really familiar.

It was Septiplier Away.

You walked into the room and looked over your cousins shoulder and watched the video with her.

"Who are you watching?" You asked.
"His names RobertIDK." She said. "He's a singer and he's awesome!"
"I've heard of him." You responded.
"You have?" She asked, a big smile on her face. "What's your favorite song of him?"
"I like SepticTalk." You said.
"Really? Because I love Septiplier Away!" She remarked.
"Well, you can like whatever song you like." You responded.
"My mom thinks it's weird that I watch him..." Your cousin sighed.
"Don't listen to what she says!" You said. "You're 13! You can go through these YouTuber phases for as long as you want."
Your cousin sighed. "I just want to meet him or get his autograph or something."

You felt bad for her, but then smirked a smile. You knew you couldn't do what you wanted to do now but you would eventually.

The following day, you woke up to notifications from Robert on Twitter.

@RobertIDK: Heading out now! See ya when I land! :)

You looked at the time it was sent. It was 2 hours ago, which meant he was 2 hours into his flight. Either way, he was long gone from where you were at. But you weren't as upset as you were for some reason anymore. Probably because you let all of your emotions out the day before yesterday and earlier yesterday morning.

Maybe it was a good thing because you were finally able to move on from it. Because, like Robert had mentioned yesterday, you two could still talk to one another on Skype and by texting one another.

You then finally decided to sit up and walk down the stairs, where you met up with your mom.

"So... Robert left." You told mom.
"Yeah, his mom texted me just before they took off." Your mom replied. "How are you holding up?"
"I'm better than I thought I would be." You responded. "Is that a good thing?"
"Of course it is." Your mom nodded. "You're showing confidence and strength."
"But I feel like any moment I'll just collapse and cry." You remarked.
"I don't think you will." Your mom responded. "I think you'll do just fine."
"Thanks, mom." You said.

You and mom decided to take your mind off of the entire thing by going out and going shopping and getting something to eat. While you were out to lunch, your phone buzzed. It was a text from Robert.

R: Just landed
Y: How's it feel?
R: Idk I just landed. I'll get back to you on that ;)
Y: Ok

At the same time, your mom had her phone out.

"Looks like they landed." Your mom said.
"Yeah, he told me that." You said.
"Looks like it'll be another few days before you or I will get to actually talk to them." Your mom told you.
"Yeah, but it'll be okay." You reminded her.
Your mom smiled. "I'm proud of you. For handling everything so well."
"What do you mean?" You asked.
"For being able to stand up to your father no matter what the situation was and being able to impress me and him with Robert. You did it all by yourself." Mom said.
You smiled. "Thanks mom, for everything. I swear I never thought you and Dad were actually going to approve of any of this."
"Well, sometimes you just have to prove us wrong." Your mom responded. "You certainly did that to us."
"I'm glad I was able to do that." You joked.

You and your mom let out a small laugh before you two both got your food and began eating.

Later on that night, your phone buzzed. Even though it was 11 at night, you checked it. Robert had texted you.

R: I got a first glimpse of the house
Y: How's it look?
R: Awesome! Tomorrow we actually get to go inside!
Y: That's cool!
R: oh wait... Did I wake you up? I just realized we're in different time zones.
Y: yeah but it's fine
R: I'm sorry, I just gotta get used to it that's all.
Y: You're fine.
R: It's gonna feel weird not having anyone to talk to late at night now...
Y: We'll work it out somehow.
R: Are you sure?
Y: Totally
R: Okay, well I'm going to let you sleep now. Good night.
Y: Goodnight <3
R: <3

With that, you ended your conversation for the night and put your phone down so you could sleep some more.
