SUCH A SMILEY BEAN

Patrick's POV

Driving isn't fun. At all. Especially when it's 3:52 in the morning in the middle of October.

And your wife's water breaks.

"Patrick drive faster goddammit!" Ashlynn yelled at me. "Babe, I'm going as fast as I can. I can't break the speed limit or I'll get a ticket." I said in a calm voice. "We'll make it to the hospital, I promise."

10 minutes later we pulled up to the curb of the hospital and the nurses wheeled Ashlynn in and took her to her room. I had to fill out some paperwork and after that I could go see her. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I'm going to be a dad before the sun comes up.

Well shit.

Ashlynn's POV

"AGHH!" I screamed as another contraction hit me. Where's Patrick I need Patrick where the hell is Patrick at? And just as I had a mini freak out, my night in shining armor, well, batman pajamas, walks through the door.

"We're doing this we are actually going to have a child today." he spat out before he even sat down.

"'Trick, it'll be okay, I promise. Sing for me?" I asked. He smiled at me sweetly, making me forget a child was going to come out of my vagina any minute.

"Pretty things
Fresh out of their teens
Not ready for the world
In a world of bad dreams
Well, is it self esteem?
Cause you're almost on your knees
Out looking for a good time
But time's not on their side

Tonight, her tights shake a little loose
Feeling woozy, not a floozy
But the booze makes her less choosy
You'll stumble and tumble to new bruises
While you're giving me the blues, yeah yeah yeah, oh

But it's a thin thin line between a good and a bad idea
So I should bite my tongue before I tell you how I really feel
Cute girls
Cute girls
Cute girls
Cute girls

Girl, I'm just impressed with your face
Not your dress
Girl, I'm just impressed with your face
Not your dress

You singing along with the same old song
Blasting out a car window
Passing down your boulevard tonight
Under another unforgiving streetlight

But it's a thin thin line between a good and a bad idea
So I should bite my tongue before I tell you how
I really feel

Cute girls
Cute girls
Cute girls
Cute girls

Girl, I'm just impressed with your face
Not your dress
Girl, I'm just impressed with your face
Not your dress

You better watch it for the cute
Cute girls
Cute girls, cute girls
Cute girls"

"Beautiful." I said with a smile. Just as I felt at peace, another contraction hit, making me grunt in pain and annoyance. "Babe, call the doctor in. The baby is coming now."

-le time skip-

"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Stump. You have yourselves a beautiful baby boy." The doctor said with a grin on his face. He handed the baby to me. I cradled him in my arms, afraid I'll hurt him if I move the slightest inch.

"Welcome to the world, Declan." Patrick said through tears of joy.

"We did it babe. We're parents now." I said looking up at the love of my life and kissed his cheek.

Things are shaping up to be pretty awesome.
