Chapter Three - Am I dreaming?

12:00 Pm.

I didn't have much sleep last night, I think I slept for 3 hours or so, I don't know how i'm gonna survive this day. I was up all night jumping on my bed like a crazy monkey watching Marvel videos, I tried to call Ace to tell him about what happened but it kept sending me to voicemail.

I had no one to talk to, all of my 'best' friends left me when I started to date Ace, We had beautiful memories together, sharing the laughter as well as the sadness but suddenly they left because I dated an older guy! Honestly it was so weird I don't know what the heck is wrong with them, I'm glad they left. Jerks!
But you know what? I really miss having a friend, a true friend. My family is great and I have the best Boyfriend in the world but still, I feel like there is something missing in my life.

Anyway focus on the future, don't look at the past. I picked up my phone and tried to call Ace again and thank god he answered his phone this time, "Is everything ok? I called you yesterday but it kept sending me to voicemail",
"Oh um- yeah I'm ok, just my buddy A-Adam broke his uh leg and I stayed with him" He said nervously, is he lying? I knew there was something wrong but I don't want to argue with him now, I want this day to be perfect, "oh poor Adam. Okay sooo I have this thing to tell" I said biting my lip, I'm so exited to hear his reaction although I'm mad at him, "okay?" He replied, annoyance showing in his voice.

Alright now I'm pissed! why he's speaking to me like that ugh!
"Are you busy or something? Or you're not in the mood to talk to me?"
"No talk to me babe it's fine, what is it?" He is trying too hard to sound interested at what I wanted to say. Man try harder.
"Okay so...guess who called me last night?" I said excitedly,
"Uhh who?"
"Kevin Feige" I sang happily,
"Oh wow! you got the part that is awesome babe congrats" he said with no emotion in his voice, what the heck is wrong with him, I thought he was excited and happy about this whole thing!
"Are you sure you're ok?" I asked, "I'm uh- babe can I call you later? I'm in court now"
"I thought you're with Ad- never mind" I hung up not even bothering to tell him that I'm going to see Feige later.

Why he's lying to me? Is he cheating on me or something? He won't cheat on me he's not that type of guy! I'm not stupid I can tell if he's cheating and he's NOT. Okay Maybe he was with Adam yesterday and I misunderstood ugh God I'm ruining my day, 'okay clear up your mind Mella go take a shower, dress up, eat and drive to Marvel studios' I thought to myself. 

After taking shower, I quickly got dressed up in skinny boyfriend Jeans and a Nice Moschino t-shirt, later I went to the kitchen and ate a bowl of cereal, I really wanted to drink coffee but I can't handle caffeine, thanks heart!

The clock strike 3:00 pm. It takes you 30 mins to get to Marvel studios so I grabbed my purse and my keys and went to my car.

It's 4:10 now, thanks to traffic, I'm 10 mins late. I quickly pulled my car into the parking lot and ran inside. I walked towards the receptionist and asked, "hey, I'm supposed to meet Mr. Feige now, where is his office exactly?", she looked up at me with her eyes wide open, "oh my- umm It's on the third floor miss Joseph", "Alright thanks, have a good day!" I gave her a warm smile and went to the elevator.

I reached the third floor and saw a reception Desk. Oh my god this is happening, It's really happening. I'm not gonna panic 'No Mella just breath it'll be fine'. It feels like i'm about to have a job interview. Well, it is actually like a job interview but slightly different.

I took a deep breath and walked to the desk and cleared my throat to get his attention , he looked at me and said, "may I help you?", "I'm supposed to meet Kevin today so..", "oh yeah you're Miss Joseph, I'll let him know that you're here" he said sitting up walking to the huge door that had Kevin's name on it. He entered Kevin's office to inform him that i'm here. When he got out he gave me a smile and said "he's waiting for you"

My heart started to beat too  fast, I took another deep breath and entered Kevin's office with a grin on my face stretching my arm for a hand shake but he went for a hug instead, "how are you! Long time no see!" He said grinning and we both took a seat.
"I'm great! It's been a while, yeah" I was so nervous to be honest, "I was waiting for you traffic huh?" He said as he opened a file in front of him, "yeah" I said laughing nervously, "so how's the tour?", "It was great, I ha-" There was a loud knocking at the door.

I frowned and looked at Kevin, "you had to make it dramatic Robert" he said raising his voice, but he was laughing, what? Robert what?

The door swung open and Robert Downey Jr. Walked to us smiling broadly. Oh My god! My heart began to race this is just too much to handle. I'm meeting The Robert Downey Jr...In the flesh! I'm dreaming, this is not real.

"Oh look who is here" said Downey walking to me, opening his arms for hug and I hugged him, I was shaking! 'Oh Mella please don't ruin the moment be cool'

"oh It is really nice to meet you sir, finally!" I said grinning, pulling from the hug, he is so warm uhh what a great man.

"glad to finally meet the mighty Mella! Love your work by the way, great voice" he smiled, "Oh thank you I really appreciate it, you're like my favorite actor and I love your movies you're really talented" I said laughing awkwardly, god i'm an idiot.

"Oh I know i'm great" he said crossing his arms and rolling his eyes playfully,
"No one can deny that" I said and he laughed and all three of us sat down.

"Did you guys started without me?" Asked Downey looking at Kevin, "No I was waiting for you" said Kevin, "so Mella, I don't really like long conversations so you will play Kate Bishop in the new Avengers Movie, I believe you already know a lot about the character but we'll be changing some stuff about her from her origin story to her powers and looks, This gentlemen here saw your audition video and insisted that you get the role, you'll have a lot of scenes with him by the way" he said pointing at Downey.

Oh dear lord, Downey is the reason why i'm so happy right now, I feel like I'm flying. He chose me! He insisted that I get the role. This hollywood legend who's sitting right in front of me, choose ME to play the role! Somebody pinch me please I must be dreaming.

"Oh god thank you so much sir for insisting that i'm the one who- thank yo- I'm rea- Uh" Yeah, I'm making a great first impression ladies and gentlemen. "It's nothing no need for thanking me dear, you were the only one who really nailed that audition, you earned it" said Downey, "anyway, Robert is here today so you both can do some screen tests and then you'll talk to The Russos they want you to cut your hair or something and I'll talk to your agent about the other stuff" Said Kevin standing up, "sounds great" I smiled and looked at Downey. "Here is your copy of the script, enjoy! I'll join you two later" he handed me the file that he opened earlier. 

        Me and Downey walked to the elevator so we can go and do the screen tests together. As we entered, I stared at him for a second and said shyly, "Mr. downey it's really a great opportunity to work with you", "It'll be fun for the both of us, and please dear, call me Robert it's ok" He gave me a warm smile and the elevator door closed. He looked at me and said "shall we begin?"

It was kinda hard to write how the both of them met.
