Back to school

Emma didn't leave the bed for one week. She didn't go to school (she even missed the first tutoring with Miss Mills), ate in bed and slept all the time. Ruby and Belle came as often as they could and Mary Magaret, David and Emma grew even more together during this time.

On Monday, Mary Magaret decided, that it was time for Emma to go to school again. Emma protested but David agreed with MM and so she had to go.

At 6.30 her alarm clock rang and Emma went to the bathroom. She didn't care how she looked. She just brushed her teeth and went into her bedroom again. She didn't want to wear anything else than her pajama so she decided to just wear some sweatpants, a long crop top and a cardigan. Her hair was oily because she didn't wash it all week so she just decided to wear a beanie. She took her bag and left the house at 7 o'clock. She went straight to school. She didn't care that none of her friends were there or that people looked at her because she looked weird. Honestly, she didn't care about anything. She didn't even care, that she would see Miss Mills again today.

She entered the school at 7.15 and it started at 7.40 so she had plenty of time left. But she didn't care. She just went to her first class. Maths. Happily, the door was unlocked so she just went in. No one was there. Not even Miss Mills. She just sat in the back and thought about nothing. She just stared emotionless straight ahead. After a few minutes, students started to enter.

Her friends came earlier than they normally did. They rushed to Emma and sat next to her.

"We've missed you in school, Em" Belle said.

Emma just looked at her emotionless. And then SHE came in. Her brown hair swung to the beat of her steps and her hips moved gracefully. As she saw Emma she smiled sad and said:" Nice to see you again, Miss Swan."

Emma just looked away emotionless. When the bell rang Regina started with her lesson and Emma started to write something into her notebook. The same six words over and over again.

'I am not worth being loved'

Ruby looked at Emmas notebook once and shot a worried look at Belle but didn't say anything. She tried it the past few days and it didn't help anything.

When class was over, two pages were full with those six words. Emma stood up. She didn't show any emotions. She wanted to go when Regina said her name:" Emma..., would you please stay a little longer? Thanks." Emma just stood at her spot while everyone left. Regina closed the door and leaned herself against the desk infront of Emma.

"It's good to see you again. How are you?" She asked with a soft voice.

"Fine" Emma just said without any emotions.

"Emma, dear, don't lie to me. I can see that you are not fine! Talk to me. It will help! Believe me." She said with a voice that lead Emma to say everything. She couldn't keep anything from the brunet. It was so easy to talk to her.

"Horrible... I knew something was wrong between us. I don't even get why I am so upset. I mean I could have figured it out that he had someone else. It's just.... I can't get rid of the thought, that no one will ever love me. I feel like I just don't worth it."

"Oh Emma, Come here sweetie." The brunet said and opened her arms. Emma melted into the hug. She missed the scent of apple and the warmth of her body so much!

"It's going to be okay again!" She whispered and a single tear escaped Emmas eye. She pulled away and Regina wiped her tear away.

Emma started talking again because it really felt good to talk to someone:" I have barley had love in my life before. My parents... they died, when I was four." Another tear escaped her eye and Regina squeezed Emmas hand slightly. She waited patiently till Emma continued.

"My first two foster parents sent me back and the third..." Her voice cracked. "It's okay, Emma. You don't have to tell me all at once." She said and drew small circles on Emmas hand.

"Thank you, Regina." Emma said quietly.

"That's okay, dear. I told you, I am always here for you!"

Emma hugged her teacher again before she left. Regina made her feel a lot better. She talked to her friends again and even laughed once.

The days went by and with every day she felt slightly better. Today was Friday and she had her first tutoring lesson with Regina. After her last lesson, Ruby and Belle went with her to Reginas class. They hugged once and Emma went in.

"Hello Emma. Sit down." the Brunet smiled and pointed at a chair next to her. At her desk!!! Emma was nervous. She walked carefully to the chair and sat down. She smelled the apples again and immediately felt comfotable

Regina cleaned her desk, so Emma could put her things on it. She started to explain the topic of this weeks lesson again. Emma tried really hard to understand everything, the brunet said and at the end of the lesson she actually got it.

"Well done Emma. I am proud of you!" Regina said happily.

On the inside Emma screamed and jumped but on the outside she played cool and just said:" Thanks Miss Mills."

"Regina. I told you to call me Regina. Except when someone else is here." She said.

"Thank you Regina." Emma said again with a little smile on her lips.

"I think we are done now. So if you don't have any more questions you are dismissed." Regina smiled.

Emma didn't want to go but she knew, she couldn't just stay any longer so she stood up and went away.
