CHAPTER 5

Two days as passed since Davis called me out on my feelings, since then I had apologized to all the guys who I'd dumped and it turns out that I had even helped them by dumping them because they are now with the girls they truly loved. Jessica and I became closer than ever and we cut off Vivian and her clone, to say she did not take it so well is an understatement so now she has are crew and we have ours. I have been more than friendly with a lot of people and I was very surprised at how many things I have in common with different people that I never thought I would give the time of day.

Davis and I have also become friends and have agreed we should see other people, in fact he is currently dating a cheerleader who is the sweetest person ever and it seems things are working out for them. David and I have been hanging out a lot lately and have become quite close though much to Jessica's annoyance and I wonder why, I never said anything about it because David seems to find it amusing. Today he said he has something important to tell me so I invited him to come by later and grilled mar to make something special, I know he sees me as a friend and am sure he likes Jessica because I have seen him stealing glances her way once or twice but I really like him and am going to try to get him to notice me.

Fingers crossed.

The doorbell rings and I check my outfit, am wearing a red crop top with white high waist shorts. I hardly have makeup on and decided to let my blonde hair down, let's just say am going natural. I rush downstairs, take a deep breath, then opened the door. Am sure my mouth was hanging open because he had that smile that says he knows his hot and I don't need to drool too much "arrogant airhead" I thought rolling my eyes.

''Nice bike." I said trying to pull myself back together while I turn my attention to the Harley behind his back.

He turned back, looking at his bike and faced me again "You like, I was hoping to shock you with the bike, but it seems I can do that naturally judging by your expression when you saw me. you thought I was hot didn't you?"

"You're so full of yourself, come in and stop gloating." I say rolling my eyes then stepped back opening the door wider and he chuckles entering.

"Wow something smells good." said David and I smile.

"Yeah that's mar's cooking, but don't call her that to her face or she will deck you... literally." All he did was nod at my statement not taking me seriously.

Dumbass I thought shaking my head.

"Mar, is it short for something?" David asked turning to look at me quizzically.

"Yes Mariah but I call her mar, always have since when I was a kid and it kind of stuck." I explain as we enter the kitchen to see mar setting the table.

"Mar, this is David." I said and she looks up to acknowledge us but when she sees David she pales and there was a flicker of fear and anger before she blanks her face but I still caught it. I wonder what it is about him that makes people dislike him at first sight.

"hi." he greeted raising his hand with a small smile.

"Nice to meet you." mar says barely acknowledging his presence and turns to face me "Barbie I have to go now before am late for my date, I already prepared you guys dinner. its set on the table." she says.

"Ok thanks mar but can I talk to you for a sec before you go?" I asked and she nodded, turning to David I said "Go ahead and eat, and I will join you soon."

Mar and I walked outside and I turned only to see mar scrolling at me "What!" I voiced, "why are you scrolling and what was up with the attitude you were giving David in there?"

"Nothing I just didn't like the fact that you like a boy like him. I mean just look at that bike and you know you're mum will have a fit if she knew about that right?" she asked pointing to the bike.

I roll my eyes, "please I doubt she will be around to notice don't worry about it, David is a really nice person and once you give him a chance to know him you'll like him. you better get going before its late and I also promise not to get on the bike without permission okay."

"You better not Barbie, cause trust me you don't want to know your punishment if you do. enjoy your dinner and don't do anything I wouldn't do okay, love you." she says kissing my check and rushing to her Lamborghini my mum got for her after her constant calling and grilling them on the car.

I sign shaking my head and walked inside to see David devouring the entire dinner "good of you to share." I said sarcastically.

"Hey! you said to help yourself and when I started I could not just stop, its so good." he smiles.

"Just count yourself lucky I already ate okay, so what is this important thing you wanted to tell me." Before he could say a thing his phone rings and he picks it up but when he checks it he frowns.

"Is something wrong," I said.

"No but I can't talk today after all, I will talk to you tomorrow or am I not invited to the spectacular party of the year and if not am so heart broken." he fakes being heartbroken holding his chest with a sad face as he says it.

"Very funny and yes you're invited." I say as we head to the door "I just didn't see you as a party guy, well my party anyway." I say and we walked out.

"Am not, but am going make an exception for one special lady." he says making my heart flutter and start beating at maximum speed at the new hope that he might like me "Goodbye princess see you tomorrow." he winks as he walks to his bike and drives off leaving me with profound hope.
