GAME ON...!

CHAPTER 17

Feeling my heart in my throat, I didn't waste any time running towards the abandoned building. Barging past the doors I looked around the room to see it was a huge hall with stairs leading up to another floor. I heard a noise like light footsteps but when I looked around I saw no one. I shrugged it off before studying the room.

It had a brown flower carved wood that was used for the railing, a dusty chandelier hanging crookedly from the ceiling completely covered in dust, there were drawing on the walls of different people and places, some (dancing, kissing, walking hand-in-hand, looking at the sunset siting on a beach etc.) and the floor looked to be made of glass marble.

This place would be totally beautiful if its cleaned up. Tensing I shivered feeling goosebumps, I felt someone watching me and I surveyed my surrounding again to see no one until the feeling eased immediately.

I knew for sure now someone else is here I thought distracted from my mission until I heard a screeching sound and I came back to reality and ran following the noise.

I entered a room am guessing to be the kitchen and looked out the window seeing them fighting in a huge flower field. Signing in relief I tried going through the back door but it was locked and wouldn't bulge, cursing under my breath I ran out of the kitchen down the same hall seeing a door under the stairs and opened it seeing to see the field, walking out the door I followed the path walk turning a corner to only see jess holding an unconscious mar bleeding in her arm, while bill and David tried to fend off the creatures.

Bill has gone full wolf and they were both viciously attacking the creature that only had two alive now with one on the floor. Am guessing, it's either dead or unconscious, I looked towards the fighting to the guys and could see from their movements they were getting tired.

Feeling hopeless I stared at the scene like it was a movie not knowing what to do, if I get involve I will have to admit to every crap they said about me being the only one to save them and that seriously scares the shit out of me, plus there's the fact that I have no idea how to use my powers to help them but if I don't something serious could happen to all of them while they risked their lives for me.

I felt a presence behind me I turned to see a guy and figured he was my stalker, he is the definition of tall, dark, and handsome.

He was taller than me about 6'2, dark skin, dark brown hair, dark chocolate heart melting eyes, very kissable pink lips, a muscular build, pink lips, heart melting and knee weakening smile. my heart stopped for a few seconds has I drew in a harsh breath staring up into his eyes.

It was so intense and mesmerizing, I don't think I could have looked away if I wanted too, I know I was supposed to be remembering something but no matter how much I tried I couldn't stop focusing on the brooding hunk standing in front of me completely forgetting there are people who needed my help.

He smirked and I almost crumbled to the ground has my knees weakened, but by some miracle I was able to stand upright, a scream and crash were able to pull me out of the lure of the strangers eyes and I turned back seeing David on the floor.

my heart leaping to my throat I felt panic overwhelm me then it was replaced by pure unsuppressed anger has it evolved rapidly through my body, I felt tingles then a warm sensation in my hand and looked down to see it was glowing turquoise blue, not wasting time I raised my hand and directed it at the gargoyles making them freeze mid-air shocking everyone and they all turned to face me.

Everyone seemed shocked except the mysterious guy, all he did was study me with a blank look on his face before smirking deviously causing shivers to run down from my spine. And am sure has hell not sure if it's a good one or not.

I looked towards David and saw him looking so weak holding his sides bleeding and I wasted no time in rushing over, kneeling by his side.

"Shit! Sarah, what are you doing here?" he rasped barely able to talk through the pain.

"I came to help." I said putting a hand to his wound trying to stop the blood. He pushed my hand away grunting in pain has he tried to sit up. I tried not to let it show how I hurt I was at his rejection, has I watch him sit up groaning.

"You are so impossible David, why the hell won't you let me help." I yelled angry and he raised his head glaring at me about to say something until we heard movement at my back and we both turned to see jess coming while struggling to drag an unconscious mar along with her.

The mysterious guy came strolling behind her and after watching her struggle for a few minutes walked over lifting mar from jess shocking her and carrying mar over before laying her down beside David.

He got up and walked over to bill lifting him up, helping him walk over to us and placing him beside mar and he held her close to him lying down closing his eyes. I noticed mar not hurt at all besides the claw mark running down her arm which seems to be healing on its own.

"Who are you?" jess asked has she knelt beside me facing the mysterious guy. He stared at me for a few seconds before diverting his attention to jess.

"Am a friend sent to help the princess." He didn't give further explanation making me even more curious about him. David was about to say something but we started hearing a crack and looked towards the gargoyles to see they were becoming unfrozen.

"Explanations later, battle now." The guy said holding his hand out to me and I stared at it hesitating for a bit before looking towards David for reassurance only to see jess had moved to my left and was holding him has he rested on her leg closing his eyes while she caressed his hair.

Not wanting to watch anymore I took the guys hand and he drew me up making me stumble into his arms. Looking up at him I was once again entranced by his eyes until jess spoke breaking our stare off.

Looking down at them I noticed jess look at us with concern and question written all over her face but David was glaring at us and I could have sworn he was jealous but pegged it has wishful thinking. Irritated at how have become begging for any small amount of affection from David when I have boys worshipping the ground I walk on.

"You need to leave here Sarah, this is no time for you to play hero, all you are is a distraction. We would have to constantly watch you has we battle." She said sternly and I faced her.

"I can take care of myself, thank you very much for the concern." I said sarcastically before facing the creatures ignoring her.

The gargoyles broke free from the frozen ice spreading their wings and screeching in rage before they came lower growling bearing their canines looking at us or me specifically glaring has their eyes flashed in rage.

Jess came to stand by my left and I turned to face her "even though I don't want you here because you could get seriously hurt, I know you need to do this."

Holding my hand she muttered "I believe in you, just try not to get killed because your mum will seriously murder me." Laughing I held her hand squeezing it slightly before facing the gargoyles with a determine face.

"Game on."
