CHAPTER 14

I grabbed the Kleenex tissues I saw in the glove compartment at the side of the limo and grabbed a mirror from my clutch to see how much the damage there was to fix remembering the rain. Looking at everyone I noticed we were all socked from the rain I caused. Closing my eyes I released a deep sign exasperated.

"We are so not going to my party looking like this." I said with gritted teeth breaking the tense silence bringing everyone out of their thoughts. They all looked at me, then themselves noticing their state.

Rolling my eyes at their lost look I thought for a moment "It would be too late to call our stylist, plus this is a red carpet event how the hell are we going to change." I signed giving up.

"Maybe we should just cancel the party, because we clearly can't show up like this." Mar said and they all agreed and jess dialed someone's number.

"Wait!" I shouted taking the phone from jess and ended the call startling everyone.

"What is it?" mum asked looking at me still startled. I contemplated this idea over and over again in my head and knew it was a bad idea but I had to try.

Ignoring mum's question I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and visualized all of us in the limo wet and then raised my hands willing it to dry us but nothing happened.

"What the hell are you doing?" Jess asked looking at me raising an eyebrow.

Still ignoring them I thought about what I was doing wrong and why it wasn't working. My family and bill still looked at me waiting for a response but I paid them no mind still contemplating.

"All the other times I used my power's though unintentional, I was fueled by my emotions sooooo?" I mumbled to myself.

"Yes that's it! emotion." I exclaimed loudly smiling and closed my eyes once more, raising up my hand and visualized everyone once again.

To fuel my emotion's I thought about David and how I felt about him, feeling the usual rush of emotions I visualized us getting dry and put together once more.

I heard a couple of surprised gasps fill the limo before feeling tingles run through my body, getting warmer I felt my body vibrate with power, it was so overwhelming.

Feeling like it was time to stop I put down my hand and opened my eyes slowly.

I looked at everyone and saw they were all dry and put together like before even me. "I did it." I mumbled lowly under my breath in awe.

Seeing the perplexed expressions on my family face I exclaimed loudly "I did it!" laughing.

Mar and jess both had a surprised and awe struck expression on their face while smith looked at me with approval. We all broke into laughter and mar moved closer to me and she and jess practically squeezed me squealing like school girls.

The only person not saying anything was mum and when I looked in her direction she had a sad expression on her face.

"mum what's wrong, aren't you happy I used my powers?"

"I am sweetie, but it just feels so real now knowing you have a heavy burden placed on you, you're going to be in danger soon and am not sure your power's can protect you." She said crying which made everyone fall into silence killing the once cherry mood.

"Oh mum stop crying I just fixed your makeup." I said moving to her side comforting her while ignoring the raised eyebrows at my insensitive comment.

It's the only thing I can fixate on instead of thinking about my future. After a few more minutes of comforting my mum pulled herself together and we got to the club obviously late and the door opened.
