CHAPTER 25

This is one of the most awkward moments of my life, we were all just staring at each other no one moved or said anything, and we probably would have stayed that way for a while if David hadn't decided to break the silence.

"Just how long are we going to stand here staring at each other." His tone bored but I could hear some level of steel in his voice. Nicholai and I separated from each other and they walked into the class before Danica locked the door so we could have some privacy.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked in a very lame attempt to distract them even if it does nothing.

"We were worried about you so we came to find out why you and him-," Jess said and nudged her head towards Nicholai, not breaking eye contact.

"-Had an important issue to talk about, though judging by what we saw it must have been so very serious." I noted the sarcasm in some words but ignored it.

"What the hell Sarah?" she said raising her hands to her hips and I signed.

"Guys this Nicholai, Nicholai my friends Jessica, David, Andrik, Danica, and Tierney." I casually introduced them and he shook hands with Andric and the girls except David and jess who completely ignored him.

"He's my boyfriend."

David and jess simultaneously shouted "what?" making me cringe.

David looked murderous and jess looked disappointed, confused, and astonished while the rest of the guys just shifted towards the seats in the front row watching us cautiously but with renewed interest.

"Can you not shout?" I calmly said.

"Well excuse us for being shocked that my best friend is dating a complete stranger and didn't tell me. To make matters worse you know absolutely nothing about him." Jess screamed at me.

I could feel a migraine forming at my temple and I signed holding my head while Nicholai stepped behind me and pulled me into his arms much to jess disgust and David..... Well I have no idea what's up with David, he simply just looked livid.

"Could you interrogate my girlfriend some other time, has you can see she's not feeling too well." Nicholai said his voice clipped making jess boil over in anger.

"Crap not good." I thought frustrated.

"Excuse me you no good son of a-"

"Jess! Please stop already my head hurts. Lets just talk about this at my house after school because am not in the mood for this." I pulled Nicholai and walked out on a gaping jess.

I was sick and tired from all the screaming and just wanted to focus on school (shocker, I know), so am just going to avoid them for the rest of the day.

I pulled up to my locker has the bell rang for the end of lunch, taking out my notes for class I said without facing Nicholai, "I need space for the entire day okay, my head hurts like crazy so I will just see you later at my place." I closed my locker and turned leaving him standing there.

I half expected him to follow me but he didn't and I was a little bit disappointed but also grateful for the space he was giving me. I managed to avoid everyone and also ignored the stares and whispers successfully till the end of school.

Making my way to my car half paying attention I bumped into Vivian and her entourage "well, well, well, if it isn't miss fabulous, just what the hell are you wearing Sarah?" she scrutinized me from head to toe.

"None of your business Vivian." I walked away from her and went to my car but she followed me alone this time. Turning back her entourage were dismissed.
